Thank you. I will hug it to myself -- at least as much as one can hug anything so big.

Once you've tasted digital - you don't go back!
Yes, that is the most insanely comprehensive camera review site I've ever gone to. The depth of information provided there can be a little overwhelming. The site looks to be geared more for the hardcore "prosumer" than the weekend snapshooter. One really neat thing I like is that, in addition to sample pics, they even provide sample clips shot in the movie mode, so you can judge the quality of the camera's video compression for yourself.
jwaneeta wrote:I tried for the A610, but they told me at the camera place that they're no longer available. I ended up getting a Cannon A540, which has a nice big display and is probably more my speed anyway. It certainly was easy to set up and install.
Those bums. What's so wrong with keeping an older but solidly rated model around and giving customers a good discount? Bah! Anyway, glad to hear you're happy with the A540.

*ahem* Just because I'm away for a few days is no reason to go dissing my forum. ;)

Anyway, now that Lyr has actually posted in the 'Tank, (and a welcome addition I might add), she knows that there is no basis for your vile slander. *Hmmmph*

We want everybody there. :D ;) The more the merrier as far as I'm concerned.

And now, because MM has the unaccountable ability to make me feel guilty (damn him ;) ),

here's a mediocre pic I happen to have on my work PC. Taken with my Sony Cybershot at the Tibetan Festival of Compassion, I was amused by the irony of the Tibetan flag caught up in the barbed wire at a place where people were gathering in "aid" of a Free Tibet.

Just because you're special and liked doesn't mean we don't want everybody else there too you know... ;)

Okay. . . as long as I'm special and liked. A girl needs to feel appreciated, you know. . . especially in a place like the Tank. A girl can feel outnumbered there. :)

And to the topic of the thread, a photo:

And, yay, at last the first pic by Avatar...why am I somehow not surprised that it has a sociopolitical bent?

I've been to Winnepeg 3 times, and went to France and Italy for 12 days this summer. That's all, excepting the United States. Really. ;)

This is the bell tower of Il Duomo in Florence (Firenze) Italy.

I think these are a little on the big size. . . I'll make the next ones smaller.
