I'm camera shy. It took me years, and a couple more days of putting it off, to put that first picture up in the album. You got a second one (well, kinda) in five minutes.

And I really do look a mess today (/this month).
So nyeh. :P

Perhaps you should post some pics of YOU being messy and being greasy to help illustrate this issue....

i'd just like to point out here that "bed-touseled" is not quite the same look as "messy" OR "greasy".

Nice pictures, Dukkha!

You know. . . I could have sworn that there were more replies in this thread. . . maybe I had too much rum-spiked mulled cider on Saturday night. Of course, it should have worn off about 24 hours ago. . . :? ;)

it starts in Vermont. we went to a Waylon Jennings show and had front row seats. except that the front row was roped off. so i grabbed the first guy working I could find and berated him thusly: "we payed for front row! do you have to be the govenor's nephew to get the seats you payed for?"

the man assured us that he worked for Waylon but would do what he could. soon we had our seats.

a couple months later at the Willie show in Mass. Julie's brother used to run security for Willie, so we were given the name of a rodie to find so we could meet Willie.

in between the open and Willie, Julie wnadered to find the roadie.

she comes back a bit pale. I question. she replies: " I found the roadie and said who we were, he said he knew us, from Vermont and that 'lady, your husband is an asshole!'" it was the raodie from the Waylon show! Julie convinced I was nice and he said he would do it for Julie and her brother.

so after the show we are ushered backstage, I am given a Willie guitar pick and we meet the man.

earlier that year i had taken a Willie instrumental and wrote lyrics for Juile. Julie tells Willie about and says he: "that's great, go ahead and use it!"

so we get the pic and I have written a song with Willie Nelson. :) lyrics : Wood music: Nelson.

Wow. A great story. I have seen Willie, but no brush with greatness.

My meetings include:

1) Steve Earle
2) Warren Zevon
3) Bill and Hill C. (briefly)

That's all.
