No, Chisi isn't back as far as I know. As for Nor, his lands and worshippers will be put on hold - they won't affect anyone, but no one will be able to affect them. It's the same thing I offered to Wadds when she asked about it. Melirelle is still there, and she has her own people, plans, and so on; these things are not "invulnerable", and they can be damaged (if you can get past the Star). The Star of Yekith still covers the land of Nor Pupae, but if you try to penetrate its obscurity, you won't see any of Nor's holdings, only Melirelle's.Stonemaybe wrote:Nice map, Xar! Edit - So with Nor gone from the Watch for a while, what is going to happen with his lands and worshippers? Do we still have to be wary of attacks from the forces of Malice or can we put aside all of our paranoia and concentrate on other matters?
Also, is Chisi back involved again yet?

Been planning mine since the map went up. They'll be along soon enough.Xar wrote:By the way, I'd like to remind you that tomorrow is the deadline. Several people haven't sent their moves yet (but that's to be expected, it's the reason why I need time afterwards), and I've noticed lack of activity in the game thread for the past two weeks...

Just as a friendly reminder... I know that several of you - I won't make any names - have started acting exploiting the fact that you know Nor is "on hold" for the moment. Please do not misunderstand, though: just because Nor is "on hold", it doesn't mean that you can freely act with impunity against his people, his realm, and so on.
While he may not send additional orders, any standing orders regarding his people and realm will continue to be enforced; additionally, I'd urge you to consider the fact that while the PLAYER of Nor (and Chisi as well) is not here, the god himself has not suddenly disappeared.
What I mean is that none of your gods should act as if Nor suddenly had disappeared from the face of the earth, because as far as they know, he's still sitting where he always sat. Acting otherwise (for instance, exploiting the out-of-game knowledge that Nor won't retaliate to send troops into his realm) is not only a use of metagaming knowledge, but will not automatically be successful, either. As far as your gods know, Nor Yekith is where he always was, looking over his realm and making sure no god impinges upon it. Please keep this in mind when submitting moves.
This of course is also valid when talking about Chisi (although that is perhaps a less pressing situation).

Xar, see the PM I sent you.
I think I'd been trying to make excuses to myself, but thinking through after this post there and my following attempt to justify myself, I was taking advantage to some extent. I went just a little too far, and I am withdrawing a part of the move in question. Most of it still stands, however.
Edit: and further revision. Damn.

Don't worry, once you get into the flow it's quite easy, and REALLY interesting!Menolly wrote:Arggh!

This must be the reason for the immunity at first. I truly have no idea what I'm doing, or even what I want to do for sure.

Well, I could start another argument with Yek. It's not like his side of the argument would be diminished by his absence.Xar wrote:and I've noticed lack of activity in the game thread for the past two weeks...

Perhaps you should try starting one with Melirelle? We know she's Nor's spouse, but does that mean that she actually shares all his motives and desires? Maybe we should try to draw her out a little? As God of Love, perhaps you should give her the benefit of the doubt?

I know all I need to know of Melirelle. As a mortal woman, she fell in Love with Yek, and asked to be enhanced in any ways he saw fit. He turned her into a massive womb, and she began giving birth to untold horrors of his.
Then he ascended her to divinity. He has given her more than I imagine she dreamed possible when she offered herself.
And her first act as a goddess was deicide, giving her the domain of Fiends.
Now, I ask you, based on which of these factors should I give her the benefit of the doubt?
-Wanting to be the best servant of Yek that she could possibly be.
-Giving birth to I-can't-imagine-what for him.
-Deicide.
-Being the Goddess of Fiends.
Besides, I tried being nice to her. When she ascended, I said this:
Whether she is nothing but an extension of Yek or her own being is of no consequence. As with Yek, I have never acted against her. As with Yek, I'm willing to bet she will act against me.

I became aware of you because of the extremity of your Love for your god. And you are now what you are because of that same Love. Fear not, I do not attempt to sway you in any way with pretty - and, perhaps, meaningless - words. I simply wanted to tell you that I honor the depth of your devotion.

Have you considered taking the domain of Paranoia? No, seriously
Just for your information, in any case:
-Melirelle killed The Fallen, who wasn't exactly a saint... when he first manifested, he even claimed he would make all deities acquainted with death, and hinted at his plans for world domination. Not exactly happiness and puppies
-Fiends aren't necessarily evil. It might surprise you to know that you have fiends among your worshipers (all of you), although perhaps not as many as Melirelle has.

OTOH, fiends near Shakari corrupted a small contingent of my followers. I used DRP's to remind them what Love means, and most returned to the light.
In any case, everything I said is a true and accurate.
