My thoughts are with you in this tough time. We have lost many in my family to cancer and it is never easy. All you can do is be there for each other and be strong for each other. Love will see you through this.

Mom is awake and no longer has the vent, she is breathing on her own and will probably leave CCU tomorrow morning. What a difference a day makes! She's still sedated, on a morphine drip for the pain, but when she's awake she at least knows where she is and talks to us. She says thank you for all your prayers and positive energy. She told us that she was with Uncle Steve at the cottage. I'm sure she will give us all the details of that when she's feeling better.

They moved her out of CCU around 3am this morning! Dad called a little while ago and we all got to talk to her for a brief moment. She sounded so much better! Heading down that way in a few minutes. Just thought I would spread more good news!

I'm sorry I haven't checked in on this thread in so long. Furls' news was a shock. I'm glad that things are sounding ok. I wish all the best.
