The avatar contest between Edge and Jay is one of the hilarious benefits of watching the Watch.

On topic, I came to KW after repeated nudges from Khaliban. We were on a Yahoo list together, and he burst from near-lurkdom with a rofl parody. Once we got to talking, he kept referring me to posts and topics on the Watch. I finally went and signed up, but it was my first message board, and so big it had me intimidated for three months before I got the motivation to dive in.

Must be a great place, I met some of my best friends here. :D

Edge and Jay-

You are both muffins.

Unfortunately, you've now made me laugh so hard there's Dr. Pepper in my keyboard.

Congratulations,
Madame Boop

I was directed here from a thread on a football forum where I was doing my Donaldson hard sell to anyone listening. They're happy to be rid of me

I find it heartwarming

I googled Thomas Covenant and landed here. I was looking for a map of The Land because my latest re-read is in e-book form on a Palm Reader and there are no maps included. I thought I knew The Land from my previous re-reads but in Lord Foul's Bane when The Quest for the Staff of Law is making the circuitous journey to Mount Thunder I got turned around. I think I got lost when they side-tracked to Soaring Woodhelvin from Andelain. I have my map now and all is well.

 Greetings Menolly & Everyone :>
Its Interesting to say the least, reading the post's on how others found Kevin's Watch:> Feel The Love :> I am grateful for all of you creators and supporters of the web site. I started reading Lord Foul's Bane back when it first came out in the '70's. Put it down a few times to have kids n stuff life brings, but always came back to Thomas, and never forgot him.
Thinkin on him often keeps the love alive  I have read all of the tales from Lord Foul to Fatal Revenant. Honestly I can say it is the only series of books I have ever become so interested in.
One day it occured to me I could look up Stephen R Donaldson in the world wide web. yup Found him. Its terrific he has a site we can all share with him. I support the idea of an artist giving and taking from his fans, Kudos to Stephen for that. Stephen posted a thread to Kevin's Watch n ya know what? 8O here i am. Lotsa Respect where due.....Room is out :>

I was strong armed by Lucimay and Jwaneeta. Lucimay held my arm behind my back while Jwaneeta made me pick and type an id with my nose. All the while they laughed maniacally, chain smoked and called me whelp of a dog. It was horrible. Then Avatar threatened to send assassins to kill my dog if I didn't stay. I've been here ever since.

You misunderstood...I would never thraten your dog...what I said was that I'd subborn your dog so he would assassinate you if you didn't stay. :D

I recently found the site/forum when it was referenced by SRD himself in the opening of Fatal Revenant. I believe he said something like (paraphrase at best) he wanted to thank the fine people from Kevin's Watch. I figured you can't beat an implied recommendation from SRD himself so one quick Blackle search and I was there. I certainly haven't been disappointed... :D
