Thank you. I'm thinking of setting up a professional account to upload my Europe pictures onto. . . I took over 600 in 12 days--and my camera was out with battery trouble at least 3 times. ;) I printed off over 400 for my personal album/scrapbook. Now I've just got to get motivated to put it together!

Any requests for the next picture? Buildings? Statues? Landscape? More phallic symbols? ;)

This is the famous Pompidou Center in Paris. As you can see, all of the electrical, mechanical, ductwork, etc. fittings are ran on the outside of the building. It is a museum of modern art.

Image

Fittingly, this is one view of the fountains outside the Pompidou Center.

Finally, this was right outside the center. Incidentally, this was also adjacent to the stairs leading to the parking garage where I GOT LOST. ON MY FIRST DAY. IN PARIS. WITHOUT THE PHONE NUMBER OF OUR GUIDE. But that is a story for another time, as I have to get to bed now. Enjoy. :D

Nice photos; and Luci, you are quite the photog! Some excellent shots there.

Here is a sight I don't think many saw this 9/11/06. These are 100+ lights shining up from Pentagon I took from my balcony.

Cowboy: Friend? Hell, I got lots of friends.
Doc Holliday: ... I don't.

I've been to Winnepeg 3 times, and went to France and Italy for 12 days this summer. That's all, excepting the United States. Really. ;)

This is the bell tower of Il Duomo in Florence (Firenze) Italy.

I think these are a little on the big size. . . I'll make the next ones smaller.
I think you've stolen this picture off my camera

I have one almost exactly the same

Nah, scenic stuff isn't mandatory. Nothing wrong with documentary-type pictures that record particular events. I haven't trained my eyes to take photos that tell a story in a social or political context. I'm also not comfortable about taking pictures of people. Heh, I'll let photojournalists and others capture the "human drama." For now, anyway.

:P Okay, another shallow scenic shot: Image

I'm not much in favour of taking pics of people either. I prefer nice static ones usually.

Here's one from where we climb...didn't come out so great...the 2nd highest point in Jo'burg, 1,843m above sea level:
