I am feeling relaxed now. :) Batty's godparents have come and gone. We had a good visit and a good lunch. And now I have the rest of the day off. 8)

Tomorrow, Magickmaker is going to drive Batty back home, and then will be visiting various friends for the rest of the weekend. So I will have the apartment to myself for a couple of days. Hoping to get some writing done. We'll see how it goes...

Indeed. Sorry Julie still feels poorly. Had I remembered that she was under the weather, I probably would not have been so quick to question her picking on Sarge's typos on Facebook.

I just met some more of my alley neighbors. They were coming out of their apartment with their dogs and I had NEVER seen a brindled chihuahua before. It was so unusual that I had to ask what the mix was. We got to chatting as I loved up on both dogs and found out their names are Jenn and Jenn, yes, Jenn and Jenn.

Other than that it was a pretty uneventful day. Work was slow so I came home early. I did happen to help a customer who has a bunch of rental properties and I got to talking with him and he lives on a "small" 40 acre ranch and is thinking about renting out a mobile home he acquired recently and he says if he does decide to rent it he will contact me first and took my business card AND that I can keep bees if I want. They have horses and several small citrus orchards on the property. That would be totally cool.
Now if I could just find a way to wear live bees as jewelry all the time.....

ali - she is sleeping hard right now. she wants to go see the astros vs our red sox. but i am not sure she is up to it.

jenn : our sonny is brindled. cool ain't it? let us know if you move to the farm...

No money for bus, no car (not even a learner's license), and most co-workers either live in the suburb I work, or are as poor as me

Cambo -- get a bike. ;)

Feeling kind of mellow. Magickmaker took Batty home today. She's staying overnight with them, then driving up to visit a friend tomorrow, coming home briefly Monday, then hanging out with another friend on the 4th. Basically, I have the place to myself for 36 hours or so. I have this mad urge to run naked through the apartment!

sarge, does it have a touch pad instead of a mouse? If so, have you used a touchpad before? I found when I first got a touchpad that my wrists kept leaning on it, causing the cursor to jump.

I know, I know. Proper posture while typing would take care of that problem. But my posture while on my own laptop is far from proper.

Feeling a bit down...my dad died on Thursday, and while it shouldn't have been too surprising, it was very unanticipated. So, much to sort out, have to travel down to the wake at the end of the week, all that sorta thing.
