Yeah, I don't really drink much coffee. Probably less than a cup a month. But tea...at least 5 cups a day. :D

Vraith I think you may never have a had a nice cuppa char ;)
In order...that was funny as hell, kudos placenta joker!

on the second and third...coffee tastes GOOD even when BAD [[seriously, I made coffee with water, paper towels, grounds and a "steel pot"...it was only really BAD when the grounds were bad.]] to me.

Tea---it's like my horse allergies. When I was young, small exposure caused nastiness physically. I outgrew it for a while. Then getting older, it started coming back. [[which is a minor hell/sadness...cuz I love them, and more importantly they love me. I'm a horse wheezer. Devil-stallions will nuzzle, weep, and stomp for Lassie while I'm dying of an asthma attack.]]
BUT--I'm not talking about the TASTE. I'm talking physicality.
Like this: Ever used an astringent after-shave? [legs, face, head, lady-stache, whatever...] Some smell good, some bad, some burn, some don't...but most of them cause a "shriveling" of the skin that you can feel.
For MOST of my life [[early, then late, with a middle gap]] most black teas---especially if milk-less---LITERALLY caused my tongue and gut to shrivel/shrink AND cause that weird mouth-water that makes one recognize "I better find a toilet or private corner, cuz I'm about to spew..."
The reaction was INDEPENDENT of the FLAVOR.
Sig-man, Libtard, Stupid piece of shit. change your text color to brown. Mr. Reliable, bullshit-slinging liarFucker-user.
the difference between evidence and sources: whether they come from the horse's mouth or a horse's ass.
"Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else's opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation."
the hyperbole is a beauty...for we are then allowed to say a little more than the truth...and language is more efficient when it goes beyond reality than when it stops short of it.

That is a pretty tough one to have to put up with. I will shut up about the tea. I am starting to get a furry tongue in empathy.

As for the placenta blend, at the birth of our first child i recall being asked by a friend of what we did with the placenta. Turns out he had taken his wifes placenta and put it through a blender before mixing it with a Guinness stout and drinking it. I cant say that I witnessed it, and i cant say *gulp* that I thought it was a good idea. Buit I will say that the earnest way he described the natural iron and energy, beauty and spiritual raising of the glass for the occasion was believable. When pressed *gulp* he admitted that he could not finish the entire *gulp* glass. 8O
I did smoke a cigar though. Now that me crook.....

There is a rugby player in Australia who is causing a massive stir.

This is a difficult one. The guy (Isreal) says his bible claims homosexuals are on the path to hell. The sponsors of his rugby team say, apologise or we are out. He feels compelled to support his religion over his job and so will not apologise. May be a flea on the backside of an elephant, but the outcome will influence and be influenced by a PC obsessed world.

Free speech is a crucial part of a free society, and this guy may feel he has a moral responsibility to the gay community as fellow human beings to warn them of the consequences of their actions (as he believes them to be from his commited 'christian' position). Is he to be pitied, censured, laughed at - hell, I don't know. But I do know that he shouldn't be muzzled.

I agree with you Peter,
He may not be correct politically speaking, but Father Bathballs would be nodding in approval and the loyal subject would feel justified. Time and experience may show him another way of dealing with things too. But that should never diminish his opportunity to speak up.

Phone call fishing? So over the past couple months I have received spam phone calls and I wonder is there something more devious or is it just your ever day annoying phone marketing calls.

Sample call from today:
"Hi this is Sam"
Person on other Line [POOL] "I have some important information about your home, can you hear me ok"
ME :"Yes but I don't own a home"
Click........dead line now.

When I used to get these type of calls in the past some person would try to convince me that somehow they had a plan for me or could I please tell them someone who may be interested or at the very least - "sorry thanks for taking our call". But these calls I have been getting is just a quick click and nothing.

One time I was smart and pretended I was interested just long to do the bait and switch and tell them [before they had a chance to hang up] to take me off their phone list.

Anyways...is there some other scam besides just annoyance going on here?

Sam Id report that to your communications authority .. or whoever in the US tracks scams.

Peter and Kizzz free speech is protected until it invites violence or illicit behaviour .. then it loses its deemed protections.

V .. that sucks on both counts, as the affect of tea on you and the affect of horses on you. 😕

But at least you have coffee.

But black tea with no sweetener or milk is a tannine hit thats pretty nasty. Theres a South African bush .. rooibus .. its a herb but is tannine free .. however thats spelled lol 😂 .. its a nice tea .. but add a splash of milk and a little sugar to taste. If you feel inclined to ever give tea another go. I used to like it when I didnt drink tea as its not a sweet drink.

It's Rooibos, and yes, it has no tannin in it. And no caffeine. Personally, I prefer mine with sugar and lemon though, maybe a bit of honey. (Although I do sometimes drink it with milk, but rarely.)

Completely agree Sky - with the right of freedom of expression comes the obligation for it's responsible use.

I am giving away my step-daughter at her forthcoming wedding next Saturday and had hoped to leave a box of the Trgothnan Estate Royal Wedding Blend tea (along with a bottle of bubbly) at her hotel room. Alas the blend, designed by Lord Falmouth's tea blenders for the forthcoming wedding of Harry and Megan is not ready for release until the following Monday. Instead we have been forced to fall back on the one developed by Fortnum and Masons for William and Kate. (Sigh) Life can be cruel at times!

There has been much hand wringing by the Government over the Windrush Scandal in the last week or so - the West Indian immigrants brought quite legally to the post war UK in the fifties to fill the labour shortage of the day, whose offspring have in many cases been threatened with deportation as illegals because the government paperwork pertaining to their citizenship was destroyed. There is absolutely no question that in such an appallingly negligent circumstance, entirely the responsibility of the State, that the benefit of the doubt should be extended to any affected individuals who should have their status as nationals restored at once and receive appropriate compensation for the distress the situation has caused them!

Agreed. Very messy foul-up by May all round.

Pity about the tea, even if it is a bit royalist. ;) I'm very fond of the African blend I habitually drink.

Oh , there are plenty of animals in the world Sky - trouble is too many of them have two legs.
(Meant humerously with a tinge of resignedness but there's no emoji for that - hell there isn't even a word for it unless wistfully would cover it! :D )

You got a point Pete  as to your emoji problem ... what about this one 😔

Youre welcome .. 😘

What do I think today 🤷‍♀️ well today is a pretty slow one for me. I am animal mining today .. I have brought in their laundry, folded it and popped it into a basket .. have watered the outside plants .. cos why not 🤷‍♀️ they looked thirsty .. then I wanted to take a gander at the new Lost in Space show on Netflix .. which they have .. right 🤷‍♀️

But no .. no idea how or where to find it 😔 .... resignation emoji

So I think that this situation is pretty shit .. its kinda not the worst though as I have caught up with a bit of stirring in the Tank pot 🤷‍♀️ .... well Im bored 🤷‍♀️

A bored sky is a very mischievous thing .. yes thing 🙄

I did look at the paving outside and thought I could easily remedy some of the irregular pavers but wasnt able to locate a pick or any suitable implement .. how do these people do life 🤷‍♀️

Another thought for today 🤷‍♀️
