I have not been able to actually bring myself to enter this thread for the past week or so. I have been getting my updates from Menolly on facebook and from Fisty in text messages.

There are few diagnoses that can frighten the living crap out of health care workers like sepsis. :( :( :(

Hang in there Tracie. We love you!

Today was a busy day for us, so I apologize for not updating sooner. I received this from Russ about four hours ago...

Again, thanks for the prayers.

What a scary time. We all thought she was going to go, we really did. But, like Dad said, she's a fighter. Now, the next step is to remove the kidney that has the tumor, the rate of growth is crazy. We are hoping she can have it done here instead of Portland. Of course, it is all on hold as long as the sepsis is present.

Thank you every one again for all your prayers and support. Love you all! |G

Oh, I forgot to mention this. Dad said that if anyone wants to be added to Mom's cell phone to get updates just PM me your number and I'll PM you back her's. I'll then pass your number onto Dad so he can put it on her phone.

Or you can email me at brookanne1990@yahoo.com.

Clicking this thread may be the most stressful thing I do every day.

I'm glad things are starting to look better now.

...continued prayers for healing and strength...

I was reading thru some of Uncle Steve's journals, hoping to gain strength from his wisdom. In one of the entries he writes:

Fighting darkness is like fighting wind, there is nothing to hang on too. Nothing but a blowing gale to hold fast against. The strength to withstand comes from within, from the power of the Father, the power of faith, the power of grace. Yes, one might fail in the end and the darkness may have its way. Yet, not all darkness is malevolent, not all darkness is abyss, it may just be the dark of the moon before the dawn. The final step to the door that leads to Eternal Grace, to the Glorious Light.

My mother fought such darkness and if she had "succumbed" like the voice she heard told her too, I do not believe that the darkness would have consumed her, she would have simply walked through it to the Light.
