What time does it go down at Danlo's Friday night? And, are there directions posted anywhere to get to his house??

...you need to PM me for directions and ph #-no way will I post them-(or Waddely, since she seems to be running everything

. Menolly will be here Thurs so it's already going down. I'm planning Friday like last time: Y'all trickle into my house as soon as you get here or as soon as you're settled. We'll have a BBQ and party going and some movie on-I sorta want to watch Pan's Labyrinth or The Princess Bride this time.

danlo, I'll PM you with my cell number right after I post this.
Is there a way for me to contact Lady Tam? I started the thread in the Galley for planning menus for ElohimFest a while ago, but I don't think she has ever dropped in. I really would like to repay y'all by helping out with the planning and cooking as best I can.
Speaking of menus...
Is anyone coming to ElohimFest a vegan or vegetarian? Just so I know if options need to be considered...

Danlo- I updated the main post with a schedule thingy. Would you double check to make sure it's at least mildly accurate? Thanks!

Looks good--Is Wyldwoode really not coming? She said something about circumstances in Gen. Disc. Is Cagliostro coming? We need him!
Talked to film crew Sat. They will be coming down Wed 30 to test everything at Cooperage, something they didn't do last time. Cooperage has a great salad bar but it is meat and seafood oriented.

<--- asking regarding vegans and vegetarians for bar-be-cue Friday night...
I make some killer portabello mushroom burgers and carrot dogs, if I do say so myself.

I would ask to be called too, except that intercontinental rates suck, and besides the time difference could be a pain

Yes to either movie!
We have sort of a jinx going with Pan's Labyrinth. MagickMaker and I tried to see it at her movie theater (the one she used to work at), but the film melted, like, 10 minutes in. The theater gave us free passes, etc., but we never went back. Then this past weekend, we tried to rent it, but Blockbuster was all out. Maybe three's the charm....
Menolly, MagickMaker doesn't eat red meat. But don't feel like you have to have vegan burgers for her, as she doesn't eat those, either. (Dinnertime at my house is *such* a pleasure....

)

Awww...that's nice.
I would love to go, and it's still not out of the realm of possibility yet. But it will almost certainly be last minute. If I am offered a job by then, I will definitely be going. There is a remote possibility I might go anyway, but its hard to say, and hard to justify with me losing my job in August and the price o' gas these days.
I REALLY wanna come though, and if I could share the costs with anyone, it would make it more feasable. But it kinda looks like I'll have to do it alone, which normally would be fine with me, but under the circumstances, yeah.
I'm getting little nibbles, but no interviews yet. So, if I do come up, it will almost certainly be last minute.

Cag-hitch a ride from someone coming down from Denver-they'll be plenty of food around my house-you can pitch my tent in the yard with aliantha's tent. That is if she camps. I'll air it out just in case.
Tam's going to make a vegetarian lasagna with bread and salad (and menolly will help!) for the bbq-and it's going to be a free floating all day bbq-so you'll can show up whenever. If you want to bring food or booze that's fine, if not they'll be plenty here (the liquor store is right down the street). We also grill articokes, eggplant, mostly anything on this huge Commercial 4 burner + sideburner that I just assembled (boy to I have stories to tell about that experience

). We'll probably show the movie at 6pm.
Once we get as many people together as possible we can of course all go off somewhere together or go off in groups, whatever. Last time a bunch of folks hung around to watch the movie and/or be festive. The movie proved very relaxing to folks decompressing from traveling. Or simply go straight to your hotel room, whatever you need to do-if you do that you'll probably want to meet up with everybody at breakfast after 10am Sat.
I'm suddenly experiencing problems with the film crew-the guy who owns all the equiptment has been called away on business. Phorist, the tech asst., is trying to get ahold of someone he knows in Santa Fe who works cheap, if that doesn't work I may be able to get ahold of a VA student at the community college or even hire one of those wedding filmers. I'll have this figured out by the end of the week, hopefully. So, now, if you want to help out with anything financially-this is a real good place to help out. I'll let you know what's going on by Fri.

Re: Video. I may be going with a prof. outfit called Evista Video, I'm seeing them in person tomorrow. They're estimating 350.00-
If so they will be using two wireless mikes: one for a podium-like setup for Vardeman's intro and individual questions-(don't worry, you won't be filmed) and one for SRD. I've already had some offers of help--so if I go with this, I'll just pay and all who want to contribute can reimburse me in Albq.

Outta curiosity- Does SRD know we're going to be fliming him?

Yes, of course-in fact his webmaster is very excited at the prospect of putting up better quality interview excerpts. (it's the reporter idea he may not be too keen about...but it doesn't look like that's going to happen now)

Thanks Danlo. Actually, I have a tent, so this is looking more likely now.
I would love to ride down with someone, but the biggest issue is that I can't come down on Thursday like so many people are. Or Friday morning. Earliest I can leave is Friday, and I'd be happy to take whoever in my car with me for a split of the gas, but it seems like everyone is going earlier. So...pooh. But we'll see.
On top of things, I do have a video camera (digital and analog), although nothing professional, but I thought I'd mention it.

Oh, groovy
Have I mentioned how excited I am?? Because I am. Dude. I wish it was next week already.
