Yes, but what if she thinks it's creepy, and never speaks to him again?!

Then....he's where he was before but without a fantasy to keep him distracted.
At least until he gets another fantasy going again.

Today I feel like I have drunk too much wine and eaten too many fairy cakes.
The reality is in this head. Mine. I'm the projector at the planetarium, all the closed little universe visible in the circle of that stage is coming out of my mouth, eyes, and sometimes other orifices also.

Sorry, that's a big pic!
I forgot it would mess up the width of everyone's posts.

Long sort of bad couple of days. Husband had a colonoscopy this morning. Thing is, he was so stressed out about it, he made himself sick over it starting a couple of days ago. So anyway, neither one of us had gotten much sleep the last couple of nights because he was tossing and turning and constantly running to the potty. The test went well - he really cracked me up in recovery this morning because he was buzzed out of his mind and kept asking me if I had found any Mountain Dew in the hospital cafeteria, and kept worrying about whether the Dew would make me have to use the bathroom, and somehow he got it into his head that there was no bathroom in the hospital (this is a thousand bed hospital with huge outpatient clinics - there are plenty of restrooms!). 8O He kept asking about that again and again. 8O They did find some odd places in his lower colon and did biopsies, but they think they will be harmless (I think they called them probable pseudopolyps, but I'm not sure I spelled that right, as my brain is starting to shut down from fatigue).

When I got him home, he was still sort of buzzed (the instructions from the doctors said he had to have someone with him for 12 hours so he couldn't cook, drive, use power tools, or other risky activities so I got a day off from work today to stay with him) so we watched a bunch of movies and I waited on him hand and food so he could rest. :)

Now that he is finally relaxed enough to fall alseep, I have just taken a shower and a few minutes for myself, and then I will be happy to fall into bed as well. :)
Love as thou wilt.

Sorry about the exhaustion, Duchess. The worst part about my colonoscopy was having to drink the icky stuff the day before. No, I take that back -- the worst part was having to be on a liquid diet the day before....

I got the same advice re: no driving, operating machinery, etc., after the test. The doc told me that I'd feel okay, but I'd essentially be intoxicated. She was right, too!

Hopefully he won't be so freaked out for his next one....

Actually this was his third, though maybe he won't stress himself out to the point of being sick next time. :) They gave him a lot of drugs this time, and it seemed to go better. The time before this one, he said he could feel the probe going around bends in his colon and that it hurt. This time they gave him a lot more drugs, and he can't remember a thing between them giving him the drugs via his iv line and sort of "coming to" in the recovery room (after I had been in there talking with him for about an hour 8O ).

He was loopy for hours and hours afterwards, which was of great entertainment value, as he is usually such a serious and solemn person.

He's back at work today, feeling much better. :) I will go in to work tonight, then will have a very busy weekend. But I got a good night's sleep (perhaps a little too good, as I am more than a bit groggy :) ) and feel better, too. :)

I've been feeling really ugly the past few days. Maybe it's because I got my hair cut. In any case, I think it looks better when it's longer. Ah well, easier to wash, anyway. Hopefully my ugliness will fade, but if it doesn't, I'll just play video games in the basement.

Completely lacking energy. I think I'm gonna have to buckle and use some sick leave this week... and here I'm supposed to be accruing leave for Maine instead of using it up.

Duchess: your hubby sounds like me (stress-city). I've been driving myself insane about certain health issues recently. My partner "reassures" me I'm just going nuts () Mortality mucks with our minds as far as I'm concerned! Well, it does with mine: this never really concerned me until my son was born, now my mortality ties with him and I no longer have an "I don't care" attitude. I HAVE to survive, because I have to look after him!

Thought there was something seriously wrong with my heart last week--every time I breathed in I felt like someone was stabbing me with a knitting needle! Eventually went to the doctor, all seems ok, and it's probably muscular rather than anything worse. Thank God! A bit of a wake-up call though. I'm only 32 but gosh I don't think I'm exactly "kind" to my body. Time to start living like I want to reach 100, not like I'd be happy with reaching 50!

Pissed off.

Checked a few accounts online this morning to see if my checks cleared and discovered that...

1)My mortgage check is somewhere lost in the mail.

2)Some jackass has stolen my identity and charged $4,000 to one of my credit cards through PayPal.

I am not happy.

Had a job interview yesterday. I'd be working about 62 hours per pay period but still getting paid for 80. Miniscule pay-cut which would be more than made up for in benefits......sounded like heaven. I got the job! :nanaparty: :nanaparty: :nanaparty: :nanaparty: :nanaparty: :nanaparty: :nanaparty: :nanaparty:
