Holy mother of god. This is just so very wrong. I can't believe it exists.

There's a Zeppelin one too.

Ya gotta wonder why.

On a better note, I heard the new Heaven & Hell song (Dio & Sabbath)....It kicks ass.

I'm not much of a metal guy; I don't even know if these 2 songs qualify, and I haven't heard one of them in so long I'm not even sure if it's the song I'm remembering:

Great White - Rock Me
Sabbath - War Pigs (I know this one)

I'd ask Cail to send me the Great White mp3, but I never even got the Zebra tune he sent me....

I'll work on that when I get home. Forgot all about it (sorry).

I love that Great White song. Hell, that whole album's really good. Way back when, my band played Rock Me and Lady Red Light.

My personal favorite too, along with Powerslave (the song :))

Call me a loser, but I REALLY like Empire by Queensryche.

Not to mention anything by Dragonforce (really an 80s revival)

I think they destroyed Iron Maiden.
My poor ears.

Now, this isn't the 80s (and this is probably what you meant by 80s classics and posers), but I'll add some I loved.

Atreyu: Right Side of the Bed
All That Remains: The Fall of Ideals (whole album)
In Flames: Man Made God
In Flames: Dialogue with the Stars
Killswitch Engage: Self Revolution

And pretty much every other song mentioned here.
As you can see, I'm a modern metal kind of guy.

Dude, I totally rock out with Jethro Tull.

Well, they won a Best Metal Artist at the Grammys, or was it MTV? I think it was the Grammys.

Hee hee...

Oh my god, someone is actually selling that? Sounds like someone rapping the lyrics into their computer mic over a midi of the original song.

Are we just talking 70’s and 80’s here?

Anthrax – Among the Living, Medusa, etc.
Iron Maiden – Aces High, Number of the Beast, Sea of Madness, 2 Minutes to Midnight
Bathory – Blood Fire Death
Slayer – Angel of Death, Criminally Insane
Obituary – Bloodsoaked
Black Sabbath – The Wizard, N.I.B.
Testament – The Haunting, Trial by Fire
Metallica – For Whom the Bell Tolls, The Four Horsemen, Master of Puppets, Creeping Death, Blackened
Blind Guardian – Majesty, Fast to Madness, Banish From Sanctuary

I'm not limiting it to the 80s; I got the impression from the first post that Jelerak just thinks the 80s had the best metal.

The '80s had the best metal, no question about it. But the '70s proto-metal kicked ass too.

Metallica - Enter Sandman
Scorpions - Blackout
Ozzy - Bark at the moon

Bark at the Moon was a really underrated album. I think Jake E. Lee was a great guitar player, and his work with Ozzy was fantastic.
