Yeah, I'm surprised it was optioned too. It's a great story, but epic sci-fi historically hasn't done well at the box office (with one exception).

They were talking all about how epic fantasy hasn't done well at the box office back in 1999. Then came Peter Jackson.Cail wrote:Yeah, I'm surprised it was optioned too. It's a great story, but epic sci-fi historically hasn't done well at the box office (with one exception).
Before that, they were talking about how westerns had become extinct. Then came Clint Eastwood.
There're genre barriers... but they aren't insurmountable. You just need to be serious about doing what it takes to overcome them.

Yes, Forbidden Knowledge is listed as in pre-production at fullyloaded.TV
I suppose we could be hoping for an HBO series. Or maybe a new channel, Dark Adult Television.
On the other hand, Fully Loaded's filmography is all R rated, darkish looking indy films. Possibly the perfect company if they can get the cash for a high quality big screen production.
I was elated at reading the announcement of the option, but as time goes I realize that I don't want to see just any film production of the Gap; what I want to see is MY vision of a film production of the Gap.
And finally,
