I tried trillian briefly back in those days as well, but it was always messed up as their aim/aol refused to work because I had aol as my isp. (that was years ago, so newer versions might work better these days)I have not used IM in years; it was the first casualty of the interpersonal difficulties I had with a fellow Watch member that led me give up on Watch gatherings and pretty much on coming around here very much.
So for years now, as a result of that stinkin' mess, I have immediate family members and one dear friend (who used to live near here and moved out to Vegas about 18 months ago and who works midnights so we cannot talk on the phone much) on my "allow' list for aol and that is it...
if anyone has aim/aol and wants to be on my allow list, you can PM me and ask.
it might get you on the list.
