Uh, that's okay, Lyr, we can skip the pictures. 8O

My most recent klutzy incidents have been documented elsewhere (somewhere in the original "How are you feeling today?" thread, I believe). To recap: In early November, as I was simultaneously doing a Sudoku and walking to work, I stepped funny on an uneven patch of sidewalk and fell, spraining my left ankle and banging up my right knee. Three weeks later, nearly healed, as I was coming out of my kids' dorm, I stepped on a magnolia tree's seed pod (they're about the size of your fist) and fell; sprained same ankle, banged up same knee.

Never did go to the doc for either one. Stupid, that. The ankle healed nicely but my knee's got a permanent knot now....

Maybe it will go away after a while, Ali! And if I were to share every clumsy thing I've done in the last few months, we'd be at 20 pages here in this thread. ;)

My clumsy nature is somewhat amplified at the moment, as I currently live in a house where all the ground-floor door frames are under six feet off the ground. And I'm 6' 3".

Those two facts do seem to be incompatible. ;)

And painful. 8O

Yeah, Lyr, if I listed all my klutzy moments, this would be the longest thread on the Watch.

Too late, aliantha. This thread is already becoming one long, bruised stumble filled with pain, injury and humiliation.

(Did I just describe the plot of Passion of the Christ?)

I once managed to slip and cut my knee open on a shower drain in a shower that was only 36" x 36"

Just TOO damned many to post here.

Really, I shouldn't even be alive by now.
Ditto. And yet I've never broken a bone, and have had only two stitches. Very many close calls, though.

I've broken 13 bones not including the bruised and cracked ribs, and all total, I've had enough stitches to sew a skirt. :P

People used to call me accident prone, but I'm actually not that bad. I don't think. :P

Thats a lot of broken bones and healing time!

I have yet to break a bone but have sprained my ankles a few time each, first time on my way downstairs while on the way to the hospital for an appointment. Damaged my knee on our outside steps and then fell up some steps and sprain my wrist. Stairs are not my friends...

I've also messed up my left shoulder blade thanks to a sailing accident and most recently put my hip out of place thanks to a London bus. Not something I would recommend to anyone...

My most awkward clumsy moment was when I somehow managed to get my foot stuck under the tire of a car that I was sitting in. My shoe was ruined, and some skin was scraped off part of my heel, but I was otherwise uninjured.

My mother ran over my foot once while picking me up from school. According to her, she thought I was in the car already when she started forward. (still not sure on that one)

When I was a little girl we went to get some things from an Amish family. The stuff we picked up filled up the back seat of our car, and my Mom put me on her lap for the short drive home. Anyhow, she went to close the door, not realizing that I had my hand on the door frame. So she shut my hand in the car door pretty hard. I think I was about 4 at the time, and I still remember that day clearly. 8O

I gotta say, all the pain and injury I'm reading in this thread is making my stomach churn. Just a tad.

Uh, yeah, Wyl...OUCH :!!!: :faint:

I split my thumb down the middle about halfway through the nail while peeling potatoes once, I was too embarrassed to tell my mother so I tried to wrap it up and keep peeling. But then she noticed the blood on the potatoes. I think she was more upset that I had ruined that part of dinner.

Wow. . . that's kinda sad, Foulwife. :(

I once cut my left middle finger down to the bone on the first joint. I was slicing iceberg lettuce, and I was a freshman in high school. You can still see the scar today. :D

I have a scar on my pinkie finger from opening a can of cat food when I was 14. Sad in it's own way.

I have a scar across the inside of my left arm, just below the elbow.
I was lying on the couch, and my cat, who was sitting on the back of the couch decided he wanted to move. He jumped down, but slipped and one of his claws caught my arm.
Right after I got it, I was afraid people were going to be suspicious, because it goes straight across, and looks like I cut myself.
