Ahhhh, but not farfetched for me. I formally steal what landwaster wrote and use it as if it were my own.

How come whenever I start posting in a thread suddenly there are no more replies?

Is it because:

1. You find me scary and are afraid to post
2. You find me weird and don't want to be seen talking to me
3. You find me pathetic and not worth answering
4. I am like a god to you and it would be rude to speak after a god
5. I say everything so brilliantly that there is nothing left to be said
6. I say everything so brilliantly that you are afraid of following such an act
7. I only post on subjects that are nearly exausted
8. I'm being paranoid

so, which is it?

I do not remember if Hile Troy had an ivory sword or not, but if he did it was probably cermonial.

I'd have to go with #2. I find you weird and don't want to be seen talking to you. ;) ;)

Steel

Post by Zephalephelah »

Beer used to be sold in steel cans. When empty, a strong man could crush this item. A crazed man could crush it against his forehead and smash it down to a much smaller size. Even empty, these cans were very tough.

Just like cans, cars have become much softer in the metals and thickness of their metals. I would not dare challenge a 1950's-1960's car in a game of chicken for instance.

As for the land, and the krill, I haven't read the 2nd chronicles in a long time, but the Krill to me is a weapon which only becomes a weapon when it is mastered. If it is not mastered then it is a dull metal, nothing more than a crude poking stick. But when it is mastered, the krill comes to life, sharpening the metal with its gem, shaping the metal into a sharpness that rivals obsidian. I believe that white gold mastered the weapon and once mastered by such a great power it was always mastered by that power whenever it was present regardless of distance just as the ranyhyn can be present from a whistle despite distance or time.

Speaking of which, this last thought gives me an idea, of which I will post... "Are the Ranyhyn responsible for Lord Foul's ability to attack time?"
