Great that you like BSG, Zarathustra. Easily one of the best sci-fi series in decades.

His early splatter stuff is great fun if you like that kind of thing (I do), Braindead is probably the best of them. But Heavenly Creatures is an incredible movie, and I highly recommend it.
The Frighteners. Just great fun at the movies.
Oh yes, I forgot The Frighteners. Very cool movie.

Zarathustra wrote:Cail, BSG was the best s.f. I've seen this year. I watched it based on your recommendation and enjoyed it immensely. I was just blown away by the character-driven drama unfolding season after season. It actually pisses me off because I realized that The Gap could be made--and done right--if someone would just give it a chance. It could even work as a miniseries, if they can't do it as a movie. BSG has restored my faith in s.f. like no movie I've seen in many years.
Glad you enjoyed it. It was truly an amazing series.

And yeah, The Frighteners kicked ass.

So, yesterday I watched The Last Exorcist, number 10 on the list. Today I watched Monsters, which is easily better.
