Put Gedeminas somwhere out of harm's way.

[Alína is in the rear of the player group, wherever that winds up being.
With an initiative of 1, I guess that means I go first...]

Feeling the wave of calm flowing over the group, the Jewess nods in acknowledgement of Japheth's words for no blood to be spilt. Seeing Hardestadt approach, she calls out to him (either after Seska if she calls out to him before intiative comes in to play, or before according to initiative), "Put aside your anger, L-rd, and try talking with those who wish to see change. How long has it been since either side have tried to negotiate any possibility of change?

"As a Jew, I understand that tradition has its place and wisdom behind it. But tradition must always be open to discussion and interpretation, and on occasion possibly change. Let us sit and talk, and perhaps a means to satisfy everyone within the Traditions can be found."

Turning towards Giovanni and Japheth, she continues, "L-rd Giovanni, please stop! Even though your uncle agreed to this, come talk this out in good faith. Is this not what the changes you want would promote?"

[ooc]I am uncertain how to use skills and/or disciplines to be more convincing, if possible, along with this sense of calm that is flowing through the chamber, so I ask the StoryTeller to go over Alína's sheet and draw upon what she has that would help her in her goal of bringing everyone to the table to negotiate in good faith. If he would be kind enough to PM me what he chose, or even post publicly if that is how such would be done, I would appreciate it.[/ooc]

[Olaf responded to my text, so I know where everyone wishes to stand, and I've updated the map accordingly.]

Jadviga and Hardestadt begin to fight. [Both spent willpower... there's a grudge match going on, here.] Hardestadt, armed with a broadsword and wearing heavy armor seems to tower over the smaller lady, but while his blows seem to knock her about, they don't really do a lot of damage to her. She, on the other hand, is using only her clawed fingers, and is scoring large rents in Hardestadt's armor. The two are moving very quickly, but don't seem to be in danger of finishing the fight soon. Hardestadt makes no reply to those who tried to change his mind.

The other Sires and Founders have stopped their advance, and are only watching each other warily. Those who had obfuscated have ceased doing so, since they no longer assume they will be attacked.

Claudius continues to feed from Japheth. (It takes a while to empty a 4th gen of all his blood.) Neither he nor Japheth speak otherwise. The other Cappadocians continue to kneel where they are, humming.

Seska's skin begins to grow more mottled and scaly. Olaf's skin turns a pale blue, and steam rises from his fists. Taduz has shifted into a 9' tall troll. Sabine is now a blob of mist over the scene. Alina and Gedeminas appear the same as always, and they're staying back from the action.

[I've updated everybody's character sheets with current (temporary) stats from blood expenditures, form changes, etc.]

Seska's transformation continues with greater changes. She kneels and braces her hands upon the earth while her legs merge and elongate into a tail of some fifteen feet. Her hair writhes out of its braid and wraps into clumps which turn into serpents. As the alteration slows, she cuts a finger on her knocked arrow and sprinkles blood on it and into the quiver upon her back.

[Assume full Spawn of Ceto in one round. One blood to empower her arrows. One more blood in this round to complete Skin of the Adder.

The transformation will consume her actions for the round. Pay attention to the Founders though, especially Rafael. She hasn't forgotten his slight.]

An indrawn breath of slight aggravation at the opportunity for talks being ignored, the Jewess decides to get clarity on what is going on from any who would answer her. Addressing herself towards the sires other than those already engaged, she asks bluntly, "What is the point of what L-rd Giovanni is doing to his uncle? Should he succeed, would he not be an equal to them in power? Or at least closer to them? And if so, why would he then wish for the changes he suggested for you and himself when he considered himself your equal, when he could take a place among them?

"I mean no disrespect to your coalition and plans. But I do not understand what the purpose is of that which is currently happening."

If Olaf is attacking that guy, maybe I'm not as scared of him. He hurt me bad, before. But Olaf is strong. And Jad... she has claws like me. Maybe I can help?

x - 12 - Hardestadt - swings his sword at Jadviga. He connects, which knocks her down, however she seems to be unharmed.
● - 9 - Jadviga - Surges to her feet again from the ground, and claws at Hardestadt. She connects, and her claws rip apart some of the metal rings in his chain shirt. No blood is seen on her claws afterwards.
■ - 2 - Olaf - runs up and attacks Hardestadt with his pale blue fists. His blow lands, but Hardestadt's armor and fortitude prevent most of the damage. [2 aggs, after soak]
■ - 2 - Sabine - floats over the combat

With that the healer steps away from her Lady's sire and attempts to approach Japheth and Giovanni. She does nothing to physically stop what is occurring, but seeks to catch Japheth's attention. If she does, she quietly asks him, "What right do you have to willingly discard HaShem's gifts? Where is the glory to HaShem in what you are allowing to occur?

"How long has it been since someone debated you on your own actions or decisions, sir? In a way that they neither feared you, nor any repercussions which may befall them for daring to argue with you?

"If this is the result of decrees instead of open debate and negotiation, I again ask this be brought to table rather than you sacrificing yourself merely to prove a point."

"His beliefs seem to see him being a martyr for his cause. Martyrs think they are blessed by whatever the think looks after them for dieing in as spectacular a manner as possible. He has every right, as he'd be doing what whatever he follows wants, and will be blessed after death. For being a lamb to the slaughter."

Olaf's frozen hand impacts Hardestadt low on the ribcage, on a spot where Jadviga had previously scored the armor, leaving a heavy gash. Olaf feels his hand going through the metal band, to impact with Hardestadt's flesh beneath. He can feel the lowest rib break from the impact, plus the still interesting sensation of Hardestadt's surface flesh freezing at his touch. But, the elder just relaxes into the blow, and Olaf's upward motion actually sends his enemy flying backwards a few feet.

As the body, for no life animates the flesh now, falls again to the ground, the hands begin to turn to dust, and the metal-shod boots also seem unattached to the rest of the man. His hair and ears, part of his nose, all crumble away, though most of the skull seems present, and the fall of his banded armor seems to imply that there's still flesh below the armor.

Round 2 Celerity 4 Combat
● - 9 - Jadviga - Jadviga sees Hardestadt fly backwards, and yells her rage at him. She steps forward, assuming he'll rise again, and takes a defensive stance. But the body remains where it fell.
■ - 2 - Olaf - dives forward to the corpse of Hardestadt. He grips the chainmail covering his neck, and pulls with all his strength, tearing a hole in the links. Then he sinks his teeth into the blue-tinted flesh of the throat and attempts to drink. His fangs sink into ice, and there is no blood for him to suck, no soul behind the blood.

Round 2 Celerity 5 Combat
● - 9 - Jadviga - Seeing her enemy fallen, and another latching on, she is furious. She closes with Olaf and slashes his across the back. "You will not take him from me!" [4 agg] Olaf is at Incapacitated (4 aggs, 3 simples, -1 blood)

o - 0 - Augustus - does nothing
o - 0 - Claudio - continues to feed from Japheth
o - 0 - Marianna - does nothing

x - 6 - Raphael - draws his rapier, and moves towards Jadviga. He makes a lunge at her, but his weapon actually shatters on impact with her back. [Celerity]
x - 6 - Josef - Appears from thin air and attacks Mieczslav. [Celerity]

● - 6 - Valdemar - (shadow) suddenly, shadowy arms rise from the ground and envelop Milov. There must be at least a dozen.

The battle joined by most of the Founders and the Sires, Seska slithers to the southwest enough the ice block does not impede her aim. She calls out in a sing-song voice to Rafael, "Oh lover boy."

Then she fires at his heart.
