I think it got misplaced somehow, Cagbro. I got an email asking me to interview for a job opening I sent my resume in to over three weeks ago. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to steal your karma. I hope this doesn't jinx me somehow. I'm going to send out lots of extra good karma in the meantime just in case. I did send out some already today but I was kinda mean in making fun of a fellow employee behind his back so that might have cancelled it out. Gosh darn it. Karma is so complex.

I guess it was just delayed. I had the interview on Friday, and now it sounds like they want a face to face. So we'll see. Fingers crossed.

I sent tons of love to everyone while holding up a sign that said "Human Rights for Human Beings Only" at a Move to Amend/Occupy rally for three hours today. Called 'Love is > than $'. (I even dressed up! I know, don't pass out! :P )

Somebody rammed something up against my flashdrive that was in the computer in the copy center while passing by and destroyed my flash drive ultimately losing me every freaking file on it. This included the blueprints I had been working on cleaning up for Igor. I was almost done with the painstaking work and now it's start from scratch time. I'm pretty sure I have a very good idea of which baboon it was....
Spoiler
Jason
Here's how it probably went down....

Jason's mental thought process: "I'm pushing a cart full of tech freight behind the counter, I'm rolling along, pushing the cart, pushing the WHAT THE HELL?duh..why did the wheels stop...Maybe if I shove harder it will free up.... yep, I'm pushing a cart full of tech freight, tech freight, into the corner we go, rolling rolling rolling....."

He actually even admitted that he thought it might have been him that did it.

The good part? I'm starting a folder tomorrow in the hard drive with my stuff. I'll have two copies, one on the flash drive the store bought me to replace my murdered one and one on the hard drive.

Good karma today? Yes, there was some of that. Lori, our xerox rep came in today and gave Caitlin and myself an hour of hands on training on the copy machines that our company doesn't provide. She showed us ways around common issues that we have due to our printer driver programs and some of the stuff she taught us was really cool and will make our lives much much easier on a lot of jobs. And when I asked her half kiddingly if she could magically fix the bypass tray on the workforce since none of the techs could seem to figure it out, she gave it a try and then put in a call to the head of her department to look into finding a way to fix it or replacing the unit.
Now if I could just find a way to wear live bees as jewelry all the time.....

I found out I got a $.10 raise. w00t! I guess I must be doing something right helping old people. I had supposedly already gotten all my raises I'm entitled to.

Well, I was wrong on the face to face. I got a message on the machine Monday night that they had some news on it, but it ended up being bad news, and that I wasn't being considered. Don't they usually just send an email letting people know this? Blah...got my hopes up and everything. They said there were other candidates that were a better fit experience-wise for the position. So poo.

Donated £20 to cancer research today, wife is doing the Race for Life, so thought I'd better sponsor her.

Something weird happened to me on Wednesday. I bought a cereal bar and a jerky stick out of the vending machine while on break. The jerky behind my jerky fell, too. If I would have bought the jerky first, I would have had the money to roll the dispenser forward, but I bought the cereal bar first. So I said, I will watch it, and if anyone walks up to the machine and looks disappointed and walks away, I will sell them my extra jerky, OR I will get the money on my next break to roll the dispenser forward (its a loong walk back to the lockers, BACK to the breakroom, BACK to work and my breaks are too short as it is).

Anyway, on my next break, I brought a dollar to the break room and dutifully rolled the dispenser forward (jerky costs $0.75) and the machine ATE MY CHANGE!

What is up with THAT?

Yesterday I had lunch with a friend who I hadn't seen in awhile. We fell into a conversation about jumping on opportunities when they present themselves, and then about doing something that scares you and about our "secret goal." My friend said that what she really wants to do is to write a screenplay. So I told her about Script Frenzy and sent her a link. Now she's all excited. :) (www.scriptfrenzy.org, if you're interested. And the next one starts April 1st.)
