Only black ink and tribal-style designs, I don't go in for pictures or colour. I dunno about the head though...that would be hell of a sore. What I've really wanted for years is a face tattoo, but I don't have the guts.

But think about how nice it will look! It's just a little pain! Facial tattoos are perhaps a bit much, though. the head seems just nice. You can grow hair over it later if you want a break from it.
I like the black ink designs best, too. People who get intricate pictures often have a mess in later years and they don't look as good as the simple black ink designs, I think. My tattoo is of a sort of simplified, stylised thorns around the inside of my ankle with two spiky white flowers. The thorns are just curves and points in block black.

That's a bit boring style! I'd have thought you would go for something more artistic. I'm curious what you end up with, though. Hope there will be pictures!

Wait... there were long-haired swedish manfest numbers 1 to 11 and I never heard?? I could have gone with a pair of scissors and a whip.
For the record, fest #13 will be kept in Åland, and guards at the door will confiscate scissors, shears, razors, and anything possibly endangering long swedish man-hair.
Deer, I think the first one and the third one are a bit too intricate to be a good tattoo. Over time, the ink spreads and so you end up with blurred lnes and dull edges. The third one is definitely nice, though. Unless it is huge, it will end up blurring together.
Sgt., in your search, I would look for something interesting, but not too intricate. Simple blocks and lines and not a lot of colour, i think, stand up better over time. Though maybe people disagree. If I end up getting a new tattoo, I will make my husband design it.

Nice. What are you thinking about doing with that one, Sgt? The cross part with the figure on it or the saint from the front? And, how will you convert that to a block drawing or will you go for one of those shaded tattoos?
And Zorm, I can still sneak in with just my cutting wit (let me have my fantasy!) and remove all those offensive ponytails!
