And I deemed I were the perpetually impatient one! :P I was going to educate deluded thoolahians about some aspects of...size and what they're missing with this quarter-arsed scale reference of Team RimeFrost sans cataphracts / LA I made for some abandoned project. Took a bit to find it in the mess of my five hd's! Granted, you'll get some biceps into the bargain, but even a 6-ft human ought to feel slack-jawed afore the impressive scenery, should one of these stomp forth from the woods.

You'll want to seek out Stonemage. With her creamy complexion, shiny black hair, and hourglass figure she's the embodiment of elegance. Also everyone knows in her care all swords grow too long for easy use. Kindwind may let even some thoolahians snuggle up to her, if they inquire politely and refrain from Linden slurs.

If you want something better with a more leisurely schedule, post a Swordmain pin-up request thread in the gallery with WF. :P I'll expect moderate participation, however.

I had heard that about her and despite my advice above I choose to believe that that is true. I may have to refrain from Stonemage, though--she would definitely break me.

A Swordmain pin-up request? I would seriously consider that but I wonder how much trouble I will get into? *ponder* I would even clean my perpetually-grimy glasses for an art show of that caliber.

That's damned good work, Frostheart. Clearly, I don't venture all around the forum as much as I probably should.

That depends on the species in question. If you were to autopsy a My Little Pony, you’d unearth something resembling a pink, heart-shaped marshmallow. What would you expect from creatures that poot rainbow glitter?
Hence, I am not ascertained of the grisliness of your boxers...
Or perhaps what about the Amnion or something interesting like that?

The giantesses are as ever beautifully captured, Frosty... hats off to you.

Further chapeaux hurled rejoicingly into the air for your consummate skill in also perfectly capturing the grating, ineffectual, self-indulgent, sodden weepiness that is - as I'm sure every right-minded person would agree - Linden's prime defining characteristic.

Eeefffyyy!!! :glomp: :D Please keep appearing, I cannot stop worrying till Russia quits breathing against your necks.

Now Vain vanished (Do we have to hold Findail responsible for this in some manner?)! D: I was going to inquire if he’d have the ability to add items into the wgd stores; some new ones were created, I believe, back in 2011. Now, three years have passed...

Fie and folly, you exaggerate, forsooth! At only 10ft, she stands as a delicate flower among the bulkier ladies of war. I would manifest disquietude about Cabledarm squishing everything and anything in a sport of desires, but Stonemage? Deft-handed and feather-light! Trouble? What kind of trouble and why? Last time I looked, I wasn’t a female Tom of Finland or anything. :P Now, go go go! I remember that over in the MBotF boards they had a pin-up calendar project some time ago, all harmless fun (at least from a Scandinavian’s point of view) and naturally Masan Gilani. In the best case, the embarkment might attract disappeared artists back from beneath mossy boulders; the female figure has allured illustrators for thousands of years, never failing in its spell yet!  Plus there’s Exalt for those ladies who prefer men only.

Thanks! If you haven’t ever visited the gallery, then you ought to, and allow the glasses the rare wash (Once a decade hurts not…although in that time, the accumulated phlegm and grease ought to have given rise to its own ecosystem...a genocide’s a sad affair.). My personal favorites were some of Blackhawk and marineguy’s works. Anyhow, the Gallery shall never shrug off its coat of sluggishness unless one strikes back with proper missiles.

Effaeldm wrote: Or perhaps what about the Amnion or something interesting like that?
Do you claim to possess insider info on the appearance of Amnioni hearts? According to some article I read they resemble Pony heats to an alarming degree--only a gentle pastel blue in color.

:P
Why, thank you. Mmmm...do I see the froth of hatred momentarily drying up? You do realize those two form the core duo of the fictional Linden’s Army? Anyhow, the point was to enlighten the poor thoolahians as to what kinds of sunny vistas they miss while deliberately throwing the blinds of bias over their windows. Descriptions akin to “slack-jawed and knuckle-dragging” may have been lifted from the more obscure chapters of the Lay of Thelma and Bahgoon with said blinds down, baize curtains tossed across the glass, shutters locked up tight, lights switched off, and the entire house thrown into a black hole. To behold someone of Stonemage’s caliber IRL would, in my estimate, leave most males slack-jawed and tight-groined.

Aaaand this challenge yet stands undisputed:
The literal Linden’s Army (for indeed one happens to exist complete with a seasoned warlady) consists of some the bravest, most steadfast characters of the LC’s. Show me a handful of passages where Rime Coldspray whines or studies grass stains on her cataphract, and I acquiesce. Well, Grueburn admitted to moaning oft, but that was a dirty joke shared between her and Latebirth, clearly intended to make fun of Jeremiah’s innocence.

Even though I’m a fan of Linden, I neither hesitate to make occasional fun of her nor admitting that she whines up to a degree. More of the opposite from thoolahians, thanks!

Frosty, finding your nascent wiki largely a delight, I attempted to add a page to it about the Demimages of Vidik Amar. Here's the picture I would have added, if I'd had the smarts.

Image

I think I probably did something wrong, being an idiot - it looks like I've put it in the wrong place - , but I'm sure that you'll be able to fix it pretty easily. Or feel free to discard at your pleasure.

Orko!! :-D *childhood nostalgia*

You had accidentally added the article into a category stub. I did a clean-up on that and created a new page for you which you can edit further:
gapintomirrorland.wikia.com/wiki/Demimages_of_Vidik_Amar
*still need to read it*

You can create separate pages with the upper-right-hand Contribute > Add a Page button, then give it a title, tick "standard layout" and then hit "add a page".

You can add images by clicking "add image" in the editing mode. You'll have to upload a file from your computer if it doesn't exist in the database. When you've added it, it will appear in the article where the cursor presently sits. Drag the image within the article into the desired position.

PS. the wiki is a joint project of Effy and myself.

I am afraid that the best I could manage to lift on a good day would be in the neighborhood of 115kg. Well, that is why personal cruisers exist--pull out of the docking bay and disable internal spin for micro-g. Simple.

I have had the privilege of examining a variety of Amnion remains and have uncovered hearts with three, four, and five chambers, sometimes two hearts, and sometimes an open circulatory system with no heart whatsoever. No, my boxers are printed with human hearts.

Are the rest of you paying attention? These two have managed to get me to discuss my boxers in public. Did I fall through a portal to another dimension or something?

I would never suggest such a thing. Perhaps "Rabelaisian" would be a better adjective to use. This causes me to wonder exactly how much Frost could be on that Heart, though.

I shall wisely decline to comment about the rest.

*nod* That is a civilized enough expression. Appropriately Rabelais wrote about giants as well.

So as to not cause confusion with this username: look up the location of Finland on Google Maps. We sport 13 months of snow per year, thriving colonies of polar bears and penguins, and Santa lives by the Korvatunturi fell. The yulefather's actually Oden in disguise, thriving on the belief of children after christianity took over, but never reveal that secret to a soul.

As for the namesake: it's the author's nod to his Norse mythology sources. Rime. Frost. Cold. The Last Dark. Jötnar battling in Ragnarökkr. Jötunheim = Gianthome. I laughed at the names when I first read FR.

Does the Dread Poet wish to enlighten us about the patterns of his braies?

He goes into detail about the influences from Norse sources in the notes section of The Real Story. Interestingly, in those stories the world was formed from the body of the progenitor of the Frost Giants...but I suspect you already knew all that so I won't bore you with a rehash of the details.

Mmm...you may entertain a valid point there, considering that the girth one of my arms may exceed that of your torso. However, large and boisterous as we may seem, we can modulate our strenght. Elsewise Linden Giantfriend and her entourage would have become pink, dripping pulp ere Andelain...a wet daydream no doubt cherished by thoolahians, but
Spoiler
Without her, the Land would have become naught but wormfood, with Foul now trolling the outer universes.
Hence, perhaps a comradely clap on the shoulder instead? Oops...let me help you up from there…
Careful with that wormhole generator, it may convey you into a realm inhabited by less amiable giants. Or for instance into a dragon’s belly.

Ah, that. Tinkering in the lab with my rTMS helmet (repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation--this is a real thing, I didn't make it up) --experimenting on myself, in other words--sometimes gives me synesthesia, thus during those time I perceive the world differently than other people. By that I mean more differently than I usually do.

I concur, with the exception of the species part as I am still the same species as you. For now. A sufficient amount of cyborg enhancements should make the difference but I don't yet know how much alteration would be needed.

What makes you so sure I have one? May I calm you down, my disinclination to be on the receiving end of hugs may have less to do with worrying about my well-being and more with good old sociopathy, outer dimensions are quite a place when people stalk you with wishes to embrace you and make you watch saop series or discuss cosmetics... surely I won't accuse you of anything similar, Giants are indeed amiable and lovely and won't torture people like that, but old habits die hard  Like in the joke about a pirate who claimed to lose an eye thanks to a fly sitting on it. “Normal”? “People”? Wrong adjective and wrong species, I am afraid.
If I was not clear, I do apologize, I didn't mean to insult anyone here by calling "normal" :) "normal" means not anyone I talk to, but the ones I have to communicate with mostly off the Watch, ones rather not accepting for anything unusual, here I was referring to a habit formed due to that - and "people" means "someone" - using "people" not as a species, but as a plural for a person :)

Now "using "people" not as a species" probably sounded even further from not having ways to understand it differently...
