Yet another Humble Bundle... This time, I bought it for Cities XL, which I've had my eye on for a while.

God, I think I have more than 100 games in my Steam library that I've never even played...

I'm less profligate with the Steam games (I have a couple I wish I'd never bought), but I definitely have 40 or so in my GOG library that haven't been touched. Bought them for the nostalgia mostly. Terrible. :D

Just snagged Fallout 4! I figured 40 bucks on sale for the Steam version isn't too shabby. Now I've gotta build a pc that can run it... ;)

Nice.

I really enjoyed FONV. More than FO3 actually.

Got the Battlestations collection, with Midway and Pacific (WWII tactical/strategic sim) and the definitive Sleeping Dogs, a GTA style open world set in Hong Kong.

Deep discounts on games means your game console is about to go belly up. And I'm definitely feeling that with the PS3. Got Hard Rain, Final Fantasy 13, Assassins Creed Brotherhood and Dragon Age 2 for a total price of $20. And I pretty much never play my PS3 anymore. Nothing like buying a bunch of games with long playtimes that you probably are never going to play.

Aren't those all old games? Doesn't really say much when stuff from years ago is discounted.

It's the level of the discount. While your system is stable, games are typically around $20-$30 that have been out for years. When you start seeing games for $5 or less, and a lot of them, it's a sign. It means "we are trying to clear out these games so we can move them to one shelf to make way for the other consoles."
I've seen it over and over again, probably first with C64 games to Nintendo/Super Nintendo and Genesis on. By the time the PS2 started doing it, I recognized the pattern. Sure, they still had new games coming out, but it was a small amount. And now with the PS3, when you buy these games for a song, sometimes their servers no longer exist so you can't update things or play online with others anymore. There are at least 3 games I have bought somewhat recently that I can't get any more than what is on the disk.

Well, I haven't acquired anything yet, but it's the Steam Summer Sale, so I shall probably get myself The Witcher 3.

Oh, I also acquired Men of War - Vietnam, Sid Meiers Pirates and Jade Empire on the (now concluded) Gog sale.

I did it. I went ahead and pulled the trigger last night and did it. Yep, I bought a PS4. I was going to wait until Christmas, but with some of the recent deals, and the fact that old PS4 has an optical audio port and the new slim iteration does not, I figured I should just do it before they start running out of the consoles.
And since The Last Guardian is coming out at last, I'll be ready.

I picked up Shadow of Mordor on a Steam sale the other day.

The number of games I own but have not yet installed is starting to look a bit ridiculous now though...it's as though I'm just buying them for the sake of it. :D

GOG Fall Sale is on, some good DRM-free deals happening.

Picked up Way Of The Samurai 4, which I've been eyeing for a while.

So, randomly went to a nearby shopping centre (mall) on Saturday, (looking for more cat bowls) and a pop-up digital store was having a 1-day only sale.

Picked up hard copies of Assassin's Creed: Syndicate and Dragon Age: Inquisition for 90% off. Probably wouldn't have ever bought them otherwise, but that was just too good to ignore.

So, playing AC Syndicate. :D
