Nooooo...
:(
So sorry.

What in the hell, Tom? You thought this would be a funny topic? What's next? The crazy antics of the Third Reich?

No. I'm already pretty sorry I brought it up in the first place.

It never occurred to me that anyone would relate the idea to themselves.
I pictured a fictitious couple with over the top, Kevin James style antics.
I never thought about what it would be like if they made me do this for my divorce because they never would.

Seriously, somebody please delete this discussion before it hurts someone else. I deleted what I could.

I need a palate cleanser. Time to head back to Mallory's.

Hey. Wasn't that explored in Hogan's Heroes? It wasn't my favorite show but I liked it okay. I guess they found it funny to make fun of Nazis back in the 60s.

WTF, TICK TOCK? You deleted your post? Why? Does freedom of speech mean nothing to you? I'm disappointed that you cave in so easily, cave man.

Now nut up and put that post back!

Ah, c'mon TOM, don't be so hard on yourself. Everybody knows it was in fun. If we relate things back to ourselves, that's a good thing.

I'll make you a deal, Tom. You put your deleted post back up, and I'll resubmit mine for the Bad Writing game. I certainly wasn't upset by it. And a little Gallows humor is a good thing.

Genius, Doc.
I'm pretty sure it won't be that easy, though!

Tom!
Hurt isn't the same as harm.
In any case, I think this community is close enough to have this go down alright amongst ourselves.
plus we're people who, umm... I'm pretty sure all - each and every one of us - have said things online that we regret.
(well, maybe except for one or two people.)

Also, everybody, in our points-tabulation system, doesn't Dan lose some points for being the first one to mention what he mentioned?

As the first to crap on your topic, I sincerely apologize. And as someone who feels like any topic can have a good joke made in spite of the horror of the actual act, I apologize. I thought I was just making my own observation that from my experience, I could never imagine turning a divorce into a song and dance routine because of my own experience. You may have found the topic that few can find humor in. From the review I just read in Entertainment Weekly of the new show Divorce that is supposed to be a comedy, it might just be a topic that few will find funny. You'd think it would be baby killings or something.

Be not concerned. It wasn't that funny to begin with so no big loss. I've written far more hilarious things in Mallory's.

I'm a big believer in the claim that there is humour to be found in anything, no matter how terrible. :D

Well I wouldn't classify my original post as terrible exactly. Perhaps a tad insensitive, certainly irreverent but not terrible. If I didn't think it was unexplored territory and at least somewhat clever I don't think I would have written it. Now if I try to write something amusing about prostate surgery then it may indeed travel to the land of terrible, yes?
