and fifty million birds live in the United States alone.
The five continents of the world probably contain more than a hundred billion birds!"
It is interesting that the two parrots featured in the film are
the Rosey-faced Lovebirds Agapornis Roseicollis.

Agapornis Roseicollis being central as to why the gulls and crows
attacked the residents of Bodega Bay. Hitchcock did like his Freudian
psychological mysteries. Though my favourite shot in the movie has to
be Annie Hayworth's mailbox, and the reason why Hitchcock enlarged and
emphized her surname ... but that is of course beside the point!
