Oh, fashion. I love it. Though I only wear T-shirts and shorts at home. And put on blue jeans when I go outside. It's not really what you wear, but how you present yourself. At least, that's my excuse.

Okay, back to religion/science.

I'm kind of tired of discussing it too. Just a little overloaded from it. You know when I'm tired of discussing religion, something's wrong.

I would like to point out that we do have a forum for vigorous debate and debators (the Think Tank) and also a seperate forum for science/high tech. Perhaps some of these debate/religious/science threads could be moved to those two forums? That way people who wish to participate in them could seek them out in these particular subjects' "natural habitats" ?

Yes, these religon vs. science threads never get to far without passions coming out based on one's beliefs. Och! It pains me to see differences getting ugly...

Maybe yet another forum for the collective is in order... one for philosophy, religion and spirituality. That way they can be avoided by people who don't want to discuss them and they can also be discussed in depth for those who care to do so.

I concur! Can I mod it? 8)

Yes, I'm all for that.

And as Foul said, I'm getting a feeling of overload as well.

It's not an easy subject (for me) to discuss constantly.
Lately Zeph, I feel your posts have been ones to respect and contemplate.

I thank you for that.

I will be glad to measure this weighty issue with you in the future, just less often.

The fabric of this great discussion board is not worth tearing, imo, when it's always been my life experience that you just don't argue religion with those that disagree so fundamentally.

The debate is not over for me, just paused. :)

Hee, I could mod it as well... but since I'm a mod already I nominate Covjr

But it's all up to Jay.

I agree with the idea for that forum. But I certainly don't want to mod it...

I would say Zeph and I could mod it, but I can't handle another full time job. :)

It might take more than two mods to keep it under control

I disagree with the notion of another forum. Those forum get very little foot traffic. Even when someone does go to look at them, they'll likely leave when they see that the more recent topics are days or so without a post to them.

On the otherhand, I guess I can understand where you're all coming from. I'll try to make it a longer space between my rantings which are based around my Christian beliefs. Okay?

However, that said, God is still going to come up in your topics. Why just today I noticed someone bringing it up for me in the Terrorism thread.

Anyway, I'll back off a bit. Kewl?

I'd be up for moving the Religious/Spiritual Discussion topics to another forum. Make a new forum for those topics. I take it the Think Tank isn't an appropriate place for them?-jay

Nope, that place is political. Is there a Thomas Covenant-themed name we could give the religion-discussion forum?

Zeph, Kewl. :)

I'll back off as well.

Well, I know I am one of those to blame for perpetuating the science/religion threads. I will stop. Sorry.

I haven't done anything naughty in the most recent science/religion threads, so nothing here to apologize for. Except for replying to dromond's post while it was still a work in progress. Sort of like looking over a dude's shoulders while he's painting.

Understood, Foul.
Cool...
I probably have nothing to do... with it. :)
