To answer the question, though I'm only a third of the way through book 4, I definitely have a Gap theme song. I wouldn't use it in a film of the books, but I've been listening to it a lot lately and I now associate it with the Gap: Apollo I: The Writing Writer by Coheed and Cambria.
CovenantJr, I gotta tell you that since you have mentioned this band I have rather immersed myself in them for two days now. I was familiar with them before but hadn't really listened to them. As a rabid guitar player I totally appreciate their complex bass / guitar interplay. As with Rush, if you can tolerate his voice, you might like the group. I like it (although the busy vocal arranging often pisses me off). Thanks for the heads up. The Writing Writer is an especially good tune.

I kinda reckon "Everybody's Fool" by Evanescence should be Nick's theme song...the lyrics are SO him!

You're welcome. I also like the reprise of The Writing Writer (The Telling Truth, if memory serves).

There's a band/artist called Rigel Kent
www.rigelkentmusic.com/ that has a song about Billingate. (All instrumental and nothing posted about the story behind it, but they're obviously fans of the series.) I'm not a big fan of Electronica in general, but it's pretty cool. Hopefully they'll do more!

Kinda cool. Doesn't really make me think of anything related to the Bill, but hey, it's art
Thanx for the link!

I listened to a lot of Radiohead whilst reading books four and five the last time. Usually I read in silence though...

I don't think of it so much as a soundtrack; when I hear certain songs, they remind me of different characters/scenes in the book. For examples:
"Save Yourself" and "Everything I Touch", both by Stabbing Westward- I think of both Morn and Angus when I hear these: "I cannot save you, I can't even save myself"; "Everything I touch, I break"
"Coming Undone", by Korn- Davies
"Man Who Sold the World"- Warden Dios
"Bleeding Me", by Metallica- Morn, especially in her "search for a better answer than self-destruct"

Just for the heck of it...
You scorned the love that I gave you
You lied now nothing can save you
Blue skies are turning to grey
I know the games that you play
Winds of rage they start to build
Too much madness will lay you under
The cards you draw don't help at all
Hear the sound of approaching thunder
When you see the clouds blacken
Remember you've been warned
No shelter from my fierce winds
Because, I am the storm
You'll hear my echoes of anger
You'll fear the roar of my thunder
Nightmares, confusion will come true
Aces and eights are the fate that you drew
Lightning bolts become my swords
When I pull them from the sky
Run my gauntlet of slashing rain
You won't survive to testify
When you see the clouds blacken
Remember you've been warned
No shelter from my fierce winds
Because, I am the storm

A few songs that I've come to associate with moments in the series/would use in a movie:
Bob Dylan - "A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall" (escape from Billingate)
Afghan Whigs - "Debonair" (Nick sabotages Soar)
Arcade Fire - "Crown of Love" (deaths of Nick and Sorus)
Ministry - "N.W.O." (Angus is freed from his codes/Angus in general)
Electric Wizard - "Funeralopolis" (Calm Horizons appears before Earth)
Bruce Dickinson - "Tears of the Dragon" (end of TDAGD)
