8O Song by Nirvana, grunge band circa late 80s to 1994. Was the biggest thing for a while, their song Smells Like Teen Spirit an anthem for disenfranchised youth.

Personally, I thought the Smells Like Teen Spirit thing was great. Was surprised to see they used that.

Well, judging by Fouls post, I would of been pushing 3 years old when it was popular. and if I did listen to anything other than PlaySchool songs, I don't remember it. What part/s of it were in Moulin Rouge?

*shakes head* Oh Dear God... you poor girl... So bereft, so ignorant... Poor Haruchai

Here is the great song of "Smells ike Teen Spirit" ALL HAIL!!!! :Hail: :Hail: :Hail:
Load up your guns, bring your friends
Its fun to lose, and to pretend
She's over bored, and self assured
Oh no, I know a dirty word

Hello, hello,hello, how low?
Hello, hello, hello, how low?
Hello, hello,hello, how low?
Hello, hello, hello...

With the lights out, it's less dangerous
Here we are now, entertain us
I feel stupid, and contagious
Here, we are now, entertain us
A mulatto, an albino,
a mosquito, my libido
Yeah!
(YEAY 2x)

I'm worst at what I do best
And for this gift, I feel blessed
Our little group has always been
and always will, until the end

Hello, hello, hello, how low?
Hello, hello, hello, how low?
Hello, hello, hello, how low?
Hello, hello, hello...

With the lights out its less dangerous
Here we are now, entertain us
I feel stupid and contagious
Here, we are now entertain us
A mulatto, an albino,
a mosquito, my libido
Yeah!
(YEAY 2x)

And I forget just why I taste
Oh yeah, I guess, it makes me smile
I found it hard, it's hard to find
Oh well, whatever, nevermind

Hello, hello, hello, how low?
Hello, hello, hello, how low?
Hello, hello, hello, how low?
Hello, hello, hello...

With the lights out its less dangerous
Here, we are now, entertain us
I feel stupid and contagious
Here we are now, entertain us
A mulatto, an albino
a mosquito, my libido

A denial (x9)

Meh, the lyricism has never done it for me. Anyway, Nirvana's best song IMO is Lounge Act.

Back on topic, I was amused by the Teen Spirit bit. It was those kind of things that kept me off balance and made it difficult to decide whether I liked the film.

Always loved the lyrics. Very Strawberry Fields, those last two lines.

Er, yes, the movie. Yeah . . . Nicole Kidman.

Nah, it's only a song. It's just that it's one of the most legendary songs of the last 15 years.

Yes! It is. :D Though I get really annoyed when people say that it changed the world... or it changed their lives... I'm sorry, but if anyones life was changed by a song, then they didn't have one to begin with.
