Hmm, I didn't draw that conclusion, but I suppose it does fit. Palpatine said Darth Plagus discovered a way to manipulate midiclorians (there's a word I hoped Lucas had disowned after Episode I) in order to create life; this would fit with both Anakin's high midiclorian count and his immaculate conception. Does this suggest Plagus was perhaps trying to create the perfect apprentice - someone more powerful than any Jedi or Sith? It does beg a major question though: How did this happen without Mrs Skywalker noticing? I'm sure being the subject of experiments by a sinister, black-clad man would leave some mental and emotional scars...Usivius wrote:I loved the story Palpatine tells of the Sith Lord and his apprentice who later kills him (obviously Sideous), and the hints that perhaps this dead Sith lord may have 'impregnated' Anakin's mother (?... )

Episode III
Praise Jesus, we'll not hafta sit through another one of these.
SORRY, SORRY. RotS is better than AotC, but that is little, little praise.
1) If I see another light saber fight again it will be to soon.
2)This is not as good as Xmen United or Spiderman 2. RotS is slightly better than Sky Captain and the world of tomorrow, but not alot. It's very comparable to Star Trek Nemesis.
3)John William's sound tracks are very annoying.
4) C3PO's servo noises very annoying and intrusive.
I feel sorry for anyone paying full theater price for this.

Re: Episode III
You mean you actually went to see this before criticizing it? Wow, that sure is an improvement over 'Ray', provided it's true.taraswizard wrote:Praise Jesus, we'll not hafta sit through another one of these.

BTW, could you give some commentary on the Frazetta flick? I've heard nothing about it, and am a fan of his work on the '50's comics he did.

Finally saw this film, i thought it was a deent, if not spectacular effort. I enjoyed the ation sequenes but some of the dialogue was a bit iffy.
A question: what was Yoda on about when he said Obi-Wan's master has come back to life ( of something of that effect ) i dont remember any mention of Qui-Gon in the origonal trilogy?

But if you're all about the destination, then take a fucking flight.
We're going nowhere slowly, but we're seeing all the sights.
And we're definitely going to hell, but we'll have all the best stories to tell.
Full of the heavens and time.

There's more about this in the book, but unfortunately Lucas and his editors deleted the relevent scene (or scenes) from the movie(s) that shed light on this. The background is that Qui-Gon had learned the secret of Force immortality prior to his death (and therefore being the 'one' that Darth Sidous referred to who had cheated death.) In AOTC, Qui-Gon's Force ghost witnessed Anakin's murderous rampage of the Sandpeople, but that scene was cut (why, Lucas?) At the end of ROTS, Qui-Gon contacts Yoda and tells him about the secret, and offers to teach Yoda. Yoda agrees to the training and becomes Qui-Gon's padawan. (Once again, Lucas, for obscure reasons, cut this scene.) Thus, when Yoda tells Obi-wan about additional training during exile, he's referring to learning from Qui-Gon.Warmark wrote:*bump*
