That's the Runes cover that SRD prefers - he just likes conceptual stuff for the cover instead of actual paintings (not that he doesn't like Whelan's work).

I still think that it's a "runish" version of "Donaldson." There are patterns repeated in the trees that fit the repeated O and N in his name. Although I've never received confirmation of this from any official source.
And then the ravens pecked out his eyes.

I like the stylish new banner more than the old one, but it's true that the new banner doesn't fit the phpbb-default site colors. Maybe we could have some custom colors instead? The current colors are high in usability, but it looks like half the net uses them and they may be just a little too soft for a Donaldson board. Replacing the colors would have to do very carefully, though.

these colors look like the paint they use in low income housing projects. in the bathrooms.

I'd like black borders, grey and greyer background, with purple and gold trims and accents. 8)

It always looked to me like what the view from the top of the watch might look like. Very panoramic.

:::it's Usivius' photo on the location map, and also the group photo I used in the upper right hand corner of the map:::

The real problem is that it was all caps, and is now just cap K and W. That's just wrong! Unless, of course, we change all forums and sub forums to match. Perhaps all usernames too. :!:

Actually, everywhere else on the site ('cept a certain admin's name) it's spelt "Kevins Watch", with capitalisation and space.

*throws hands up* How do we get anything done around here with these kinds of inconsistencies running around willy-nilly?!?

Or is that helter skelter? Certainly a great song, but is the phrase more accurate in this case?

Yes, I always imagined I was looking at the Southern Plains, Plains of Ra, Mithil River, and all the way to Melekurion past Garroting Deep.
(I know that's not geographically accurate but I have a good imagination).

Sorry guys, add me to the list of those who don't like the new banner.

Don't get me wrong, the picture is cool, (it's the cover of my Runes too, and I much prefer it. (As I've mentioned elsewhere Romeo, at best, it's not in any runic alphabet I can recognise. But that's not to say it can't represent the name in a newly made one. ;) )

It's not as good as the old one though, which did fit better IMHO. (Just to make things worse, let me mention I'm not keen on the font either... )

Oh yeah, and remember, it's not winter everywhere you know. ;)

Well, I still can't see it, but if it's the UK cover, then that's OK, I've seen it enough.

Well, if you've tried the Ctrl+F5, (which is a dump&refresh), the only other thing I can think of is to clear all your browser caches through the Internet...Properties dialogue. Delete Temp Files, History, etc. Then visit again.
