Food Loaf, old school
beef, ground and cooked
beans, black eyes or lima
beets
sauerkraut
prunes
vegetable oil
grind up ingredients, make into loafs, bake at 350 for some time, until hard as a brick. slice and serve one piece per meal.
we are no longer allowed that leeway and have a basic menu.
beef, ground and cooked.
pinto beans.
green beans or sweet peas
corn

Sounds good sgtnull. I think I would add some eggs and a dash of flour just to bind. Prunes and sauerkraut, hmm, the German equivalent of the Chinese sweet and sour sauce?

Crap, I should have read the first post before I answered. Celery is definitley tasty.... but it also has (essentially) negative calories. If I haven't eaten for a week, I probably want something that will fill me up
instead of just making me hungrier.
