When I was in high school and writing my aborted novel, my main character kept using "hellfire" for the longest time. Heh.

Also: in a recent poem I used the word "nadir." I try to keep the SRD-isms to homage level.

My writing was influenced not only by SRD's style but by his very presence. I don't recall having any interest in wanting to write before I read LFB.
