Oh, Cags!
That is amazing... sounds like she "gets" the sense of humor that is fitting to you / the males in your house.

(says the person who, when one of her munchkins was littler than he is now actually had him use air-scare-quotes* on the words "delicious food." In reference to food I required him to eat.)
...I'm already lagging a different RP type thing (although not a "traditional" game) on a Discord I'm on... :D

understood! then you probably have a sense of where all my time is getting sucked away to now that it feels very legit to spend large hours of my life online. which is what i had wanted to do anyway but was usually so conflicted about.

Av- have u made any Discord servers yet?

Hey Cag, you're in our thoughts. Keep us posted.

I'm looking at switching to working from home. Honestly, I've asked my employer about it before, but now they're actually letting people. Unfortunately, when we tested my connection it wasn't fast enough - they want a decent buffer to ensure service quality.

But I'm switching to Comcast (even though I hate those bastards) to make it possible. Plus, it'll be nice pulling the trigger on buying a game and not having to wait several hours for it to download - maybe only one or two ;)

I've always just called them air quotes.

Despite the fact that I am still working Mon-Fri (though on a reduced schedule), it really is all starting to run together. At the end of last Wednesday my boss said 'See you Monday' and we both stopped and had to think about that for a minute. I knew it wasn't Friday, but it took me a minute to come up with what day it actually was.

They're shutting down most of the bus lines here, so that should make my commute more interesting, and not in a good way. They're promising the worst transportation day since the quake of 1906, and unlike most of their promises, this is one they can probably deliver on.

The mask I ordered on Etsy will hopefully arrive early this week. I feel a bit self-conscious wearing a mask, so I will probably add my steampunk goggles and some chainmail - if you're going to be weird you might as well fully own it.

Hahaha, 100%. Post a pic Sorus. :D

(And yeah, the days running together are even worse when working from home...on the plus side, this coming Friday and Monday are public holidays, so...long weekend I guess... :D )

Ran 6.4 miles yesterday evening (yep, 10k) on a whim. 57:50. Not bad for 57 years young. Gotta stay in shape in case I have to outrun the virus. LOL

No news on the biopsy yet.
::sigh::

Stevie G thanks for posting the pic. I'm such a bad IT guy. I guess because I do it all day and put in a lot of work to do my best, when I am at home, I just really don't want to bother. Like how an auto mechanic's car never starts.

So does that mean you are one of my Facebook friends? Shoot me an IM some time so I know which one you are.

Gearing up for Easter. For a mostly non-religious family, both my mom and my daughter say Easter is their favorite holiday. My daughter, I halfway understand because it revolves around candy, but I've always tried to instill Halloween as the greatest of holidays because you get so much more candy. And you get to dress up. Oh well.

Edit: Finally got a call, and it was to set up a Zoom meeting with the doc about the results. So I'll find out tomorrow at 2pm.

The waiting is the worst. Fingers still crossed for good news.

And Halloween is vastly superior to Easter, though Easter does have some good candy. (Never actually celebrated the meaningful parts of Easter as the side of the family that raised me is Jewish, but chocolate bunnies...)

i'm fine. creator is fine. our extended families are fine with the exception of creator's son's mother in law. she passed last week. she had many many health issues and was unable to fight the virus (dialysis, diabetes, and other stuff) so before they put her on the respirator she requested no heroic measures. creator's daughter in law and her family are doing as well as could be expected. there are 2 health care workers in our combined families, creator's daughter in law (yes the one that just lost her mother) in Virginia and my youngest brother's wife, my sis in law Linda in Kentucky. all precautions are being taken in all fams.
I am the designated shopper and am well stocked with gloves and masks (which, remarkably, I had on hand before all this stuff started cause I had gotten sick in January and still hadda do the cooking and such so I cooked with a mask on. heh) and have been wearing said glubs and maskes since end of February!! lol. I've read the stand a dozen times so I was prepared!! lol!!!!!
I am asymptomatic, thankfully. creator has not been out in public since February so he's good. he does walk the dogs daily in our hood but takes all precautions if he sees others while walking.
his sister (that lives with us) is still going to work but it's a 3 person office and she is the only one working in the office right now so she's fine too.

we're all good over here in castle rock Colorado and hope all y'all are good and well too. <3
big hugs everyone, stay home and stay safe!! <3

Looks like I am a team of 1 at work now. My entire team except myself is being furloughed. April 19 - May 31. Sadly, I have calls to make this afternoon to let them all know. Not going on my list of fun things to do.

That's rough, though they've probably been expecting it. I've been waiting for the axe to fall for the last month, and while I'm glad it hasn't, the stress is awful.

Keeping up with the way everything changes every day is stressful.

Monday: No masks allowed. Masks look SCARY.
Tuesday: Okay, fine. You can wear masks.
Wednesday: Masks are now mandatory. Haha, no, we're not supplying them.
Thursday: Here are instructions for how to make a mask out of any random fabric you have sitting around.
Friday: White masks only!

I would find such a lack of consistency stressful as well, Sorus. Hope they make up their minds soon, and just stick with one policy for awhile! :x :hithead:

I'm sorry you had to do that, SoulBiter, but good on you for doing what must be done and telling them ASAP so they can prepare for it the best they can!
