😌 glad she went peacefully in her sleep ... Im hoping for a quiet peaceful exit like that myself, one day 🤞

Hows your GF .. hope shes ok .. its always sad no matter how expected. So glad she had a caring grandaughter.. am sure she was a great boon to her nan 😊 just st by being there.

Now begins the work of settling and packing away her affairs. That can also be quite a painful exercise. Much love to you both as you navigate through it all. I hope it is as painless as it can realistically be..

Thankfully, this will not be our problem for a change. Her sons and daughters in law will be taking care of it.

Feeling miffed .. someone drank my Pilsner grrr..

But happily sipping on my Tennessee Fire water ... err whiskey .. god I love this stuff.

But yeah .. I thought we could share it but no RivenRock guzzled the whole bottle!

Apart from that bombshell .. lol 😂 .. its been a fab day .. hot but with a nice cool breeze .. coming up over the escarpment from the ocean .. very nice, thank you very much. Lazy day outside with the goats, horses, sheep and alpaca .. very nice indeed 😎

The temerity! I should have had Pilsner last week when we were having the heatwave, but now the weather has gone back to cold.

Did something to my hand at work yesterday - wish I knew exactly what - but I've got 3 knuckles that feel like they've been dislocated. No visible injuries, and I can't remember doing anything that would have caused it. And it doesn't even hurt much unless I bend the knuckle, then it hurts all the way up my arm. Hoping it feels better by tomorrow - really don't want to go to a doctor when all they're going to do is tape them together (which I can do myself), and tell me not to do, well, most of my job, which isn't an option.

I spent my teen years being a horse-crazy girl, and although I seldom get my being-around-equines fix, (my own fault, somewhat) I've never lost the wonder.

I had a fat Shetland pony with quite a temper, and loved her to bits.
Could just sit watching her eat grass for 20 minutes on end.
Been years since I last saw a horse up close, but I'd like to think I remember how to ride. Never had a horse or pony (your pony sounds awesome) - but I took lessons when I was young.

Tape them up and tell work the doctor said you had to rest it. :D

Friday...hooray...I guess. (Weekends so short it's not even funny.)

Oooh Sorus .. you need to rest that hand. Could you not use it at work

Taping it up and disabling sounds like a good plan. Where is Nano lol .. maybe its a repetitive strain.. that creeps up on you ..

Try and rest it over the weekend .. if you are anything like me .. you wont rest it or not use it unless it is physically impossible to use it .. I.e. bandaging it .. even put it in a sling. It will be annoying but it could help lol 😂 or meh it might not ... I would give it a shot .. and thats my medical advice .. that will be $50 thank you very much 😂

Is it swollen .. seek actual medical assistance if its no better by Monday

Arrgghh mama mode .. 8O .. its a mom thing 😬

Heh. Looking like I should probably get it looked at, but I am going to wait until Monday. Really don't want to make an unnecessary trip to the doctor during flu season.

Good weekend, if short. Speaking of injuries, looks like I've got a bit of tendinitis going on in my left arm...probably from keyboarding...just can't seem to shake it.

Sympathies to Melody, Av.
It sounds like you feel weird getting sympathies - like - "no it's really her loss...." (I would maybe feel weird too.) So I send them on.

I just got home after 10pm from a glorious Chinese New Year party.
We got there at 2:30 in the afternoon.

Funniest moment:
A kid is performing his martial arts routine.
A toddler jumps right up on the stage and attempts to emulate him!!

This celebration was comprised mostly of dumpling-making, eating together, and a talent show.
I was with the "kid-swarm" much of the time though & we did games, let them play with play-doh, etc.
Saw a couple from our old Chinese church - haven't seen them in several years! When the wife saw the boys, she immediately wanted to hug them.
It was really good. =)

The profile doesn't tell you much, but you can find what few posts Melody did make.

She used to have a really pretty treble clef avatar, but that seems to have disappeared as well.

Hah - thank you!
It was worth it just to see the greetings & back-and-forth...
Lucimay and Jenn bouncing off the walls was cuteness. also, your quip. it was a joke waiting to be made that I didn't see!

I love looking back at old moments on the Watch - like a snapshot in time... perhaps I don't do that often enough!

Trying not to feel disappointed that a position I thought was open next year at school is already filled... it would have been perfect for me, plus other reasons... ah well. Grade 3 again is okay with me.

I'm really blessed. 2014 was a year from hell, but since then no one close to me has passed away. It's always hard and shocking even when the person is living on borrowed time... We were meant for immortality, but something went terribly wrong.

Thats a bummer but it strikes me that youre the kind of person who can make the best out of a less than ideal circumstance. I bet the kids love having you teach them.

So are you home from Africa now .. or soon

Meh. Just meh.

I seem to be swinging between motivated and the opposite. sometimes I'm motivated for long enough to do something productive, sometimes not. :D

I'm productive, but it's mainly due to inertia. I lost motivation a long time ago.

In related news, why is it only Wednesday?
