Trace has gone into renal failure again, she is now unresponsive, in another coma. It is her wish to stay out of the hospital though, so Liz will do all she can for her here. We can do dialysis here. Not sure how many times her kidney can fail and come back though.
Please keep the prayers coming. Thank you all for your support.

Oh, my sweet Tracie...
And Russ, you're well past sainthood. The rollercoaster you're on...

What was the vow? For better or worse? In sickness and in health? Couldn't do anything but what I'm doing. She's the love of my life. I pray God doesn't take her from me, us. Not yet.

Hey all, not much change in Tracie's condition today, she's holding her own. Still unresponsive, she's not even gripping our hands when we talk to her. We can't seem to get her fever down.
Please keep the prayers coming. Thanks all.

Mom's fever broke in the middle of the night.

She's a bit more responsive, moving her hands and feet, but hasn't woken up yet.
Prayers are working once again, thank you everyone!

Thank you for the update, Brooke.
Baruch HaShem, and Dr. Liz and Anna's efforts.
As well as everyone else involved.
I'm wondering if there is a way to test the kidney for potential shut down before hand whenever a new infection strikes. Is there such a thing as supplemental dialysis? Not a pain free process, but if it could stave off the physical and psychological wear of slipping in and out of comas...

We knew it was going to fail when the blood tests were done, her BUN and Creatinin levels were very high. Anna and Liz got the dialysis equipment set up before it actually
did fail. It may be that she will have to be on it permenantly, something she doesn't want.
The coma could be because of the kidney failure and the fever and the brain tumor. These comas seem to happen no matter what crisis she is battling at the time. It may just be her body's way to cope with the new traumas that is happening to it.

True, regarding the possible coping mechanism.
And it seems she is held by those she loves elsewhere than this plane when it happens.
...it is just so hard.
Both physically on her and wearing on all of you.
...and us.
Hang in there, Furls.
Love and Light.
We Love you.

Very hard
When she was dreaming of the storms, she said life was going to get very hard, she knew it was coming, and she knew she may not survive it. But God graced her with a strength that surpasses anything I've ever seen. Mom will continue to fight her way thru this.
