She always said Daddy was the rock that held us all together, but it was always her. She was our foundation, she still is, I hate talking about her this way. And I tell myself, she will always be with me, but dammit, it's not the same. It's not. I can't call her on the phone, I can't hug her, I can't see her...
I miss her so much. I ache for her.
How can I have a life without my mother in it? I'm struggling with that right now.

Yes, I'm sure. I don't pretend to know how you feel. (My relationship with my mother was/is rather different.

) But, bad as the pain is, it will diminish. It will never leave. How could it? But it's way too much so soon. Nobody would expect you to feel other than you do.
The important thing, though, is the love and wisdom your parents gave you every day of your life. They
will see you through. Don't even
try to end the pain yet. It can't happen so soon, and it can't be forced. Don't try to figure out how or when it will be easier. Just try to believe me when I say it will.

This is why Mom loved you so much, Fisty. Thank you.

I did these as a tribute of sorts to Tracie, and I'd like to share them... hopefully they'll express all the things I battle to find words for.
I have a feeling that there'll be at least one more, and if so I'll add it in here.

They're all gorgeous, but I especially like #2 and #4; the former makes me think of Tracie as a Forestal in Morinmoss, and the latter makes me think of Tracie as an Elohim in Andelain.

They all speak different things to me. He has really captured her spirit.
Mom is an angel now.

I been talking to my brother, Ryan on MSN, and he says Dad is going to have an excavator come out within the next few days to see if the ground is soft enough to do Mom's memorial.
If it is, we will be planning to do it soon. Dad doesn't like the idea of her remains being down in Bend. As soon as we know for sure, Dad or I will post the date.
