*Yawn* Good Morning all!

If you are interested it is dark and drizzly in Old London Town today. But, then, it usually is.

And Cheval - thanks.

At this point I assume you are hanging your head in shame. You actually said that.

It's not a good idea to hang my head down when I'm running away.
Can't see where I'm going and may run into something. ;)

Greetings, Alan. (Now that's a disconcerting sentence, since I'm also an Alan).

Don't heed anyone too much. They're a bunch of mischievous degenerates with more words than thoughts. :P

And don't worry about being slapped by Vain. He could do far worse.*

*He could cause Linden to arrive, and we don't want that. Those of us with taste and sense, anyway.

Since I, myself, stole it from someone on another forum, it'd be churlish to refuse.

As for the trick - well, the Think Tank is notorious. You need to make sure you don your armour before you go in there. I don't bother, simply because almost every time I've posted in there, I've been insulted and maligned on a personal level. I decided it wasn't worth the hassle.

Really, the Think Tank and, to a lesser extent, the Close are the only places on Kevin's Watch that you're likely to find that kind of behaviour. A lot of online forums are savage places at all times, but Watch members tend to be a fairly even-tempered and tolerant lot.

Sorry - but that is really unfair, LucyMay. CovenantJr made a kind and useful response. Why denigrate it? Anybody who can say "churlish" in cold blood deserves respect.

Hi, everyone,

I've just joined: been reading Donaldosn since I was 12 (now 38) and I started with "The Ilearth War" for some reason.

I didn't like it at first but it haunted me and I went on to read and re-read them all, came to love them, and buy each new one when it's released and devour 'em Raver-style.

Never read anything else by Donaldson - loved Tolkien and Ursula Le Guin when i was younger, but I don't really consider myself a fan of Heroic fantasy.

Loved FR (no spoilers!).

Hail mcnpauls. Welcome to the Watch. :D
You do not hear, and so you cannot be redeemed.

In the name of their ancient pride and humiliation, they had made commitments with no possible outcome except bereavement.

He knew only that they had never striven to reject the boundaries of themselves.
