Yeah it better...I'm actually meh with being meh...
Re cats stalking...the stalk is always done with the head held almost motionless, so bells are often "negated" as it were. I cut them off mine's collars because I got sick of them waking each other up and setting each other off whenever one came in.
(It's getting more and more difficult to keep Harley in as she gains better use of her leg...

3 weeks until a check ✔ up, some x-rays and hopefully and ok
to start walking
on the
leg. I hate using the walker. The
wheelchair too. Surprisingly the doctor gave me a permanent handicapped
plate 🍽 for the truck
. Just four years until I can retire from the prison.
So at least four weeks until I can take the guns
out to the range and get some practice in.

Our WWI rifles Turkish mouser, and pre-WWI martini henry, moison nagent and a pattern 14 British 303 all in perfect working condition and well looked after.
We had a number of standard rifles.
Honestly I loved the historicity of the military rifles and would like to still have them ... but would be limited to decommissioned.
However, cuz we had a recent awful experience with native wildlife we are now looking at getting relicensed and buying a 22. caliber bolt action .. and then we could euthanise injured wildlife and not watch them suffer till someone from 80kms away to do the deed.

Awesome newsAvatar wrote:Actually thinking of getting a .22 bolt action just for fun myself. Promised the guy who owns my usual range that if he opened a rifle bay I would get one.

Null I do not need to ask anyone’s permission to defend myself

Do you need to be licensed? Who issues that license?
Are your firearms registered? With whom are they registered?

My Dad gave me a 12 gauge and a 22 rifle that he had inherited himself. They sat in the closet for several years and I finally got rid of them. Never even owned ammo for either.
I've had guns pointed at me, knives too. If I had had a loaded gun, someone might have died. I have always managed to talk my way around it, and everyone lived.
Sometimes I think I'd feel safer with a gun, but I haven't actually needed one for 58 years. Why start now?
A question got asked today about having a Person. Someone you're not married to, who is not impressed with you, who will ask the questions, who gets your world view, etc, and is ideally your gender. That's the problem for me. I've always related to men better. In fact the only person who fits the description is a male colleague (who I'm not attracted to). But I need a girl friend. Advice?
