Yeah .. I own it :P

Had the best pizza tonight .. mama Rosa at the Woolshed cooked us some of the most delicious wood fired pizza ever .. yum.

I was in Melbourne recently .. and went with my son on a shoot .. totally boring .. but it was a pizza place who were running an event to break the Guiness World Record for most cheese on a pizza .. so they cooked their 150 cheese pizza .. Alex bought one and I hated it .. bleh 🤢 .. every cheese does not a good pizza make 🤢

They did it .. but not my cuppa tea at all. Mama Rosas pizza in town trumped that shit .. right out of the water ;) 🍕

Yeah, I don't get some of the 'exotic' things that are inflicted on pizza. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Nothing wrong with a good mozzarella.

Dinner was baked potatoes, roasted butternut, and a pan-fried pork fillet with a white wine, honey and apple cider vinegar sauce.

The GF did sort of a roasted onion risotto thing with roasted vegetables.

I had a snacky dinner to use up the last of the cold roast beef from the roast I did the other day, and the GF did a vegan lasagne with a lentil, mushroom and red pepper filling, and a tofu and cashew cream sauce.

Oh, that sounds scrumptious.

Any chance you can talk Melody in to sharing her receipt for that?

Wow Vader .. not only does it look yummy but its so perfectly plated

Its been an exciting old time here .. my son is vegan so we have been experimenting with veganising dishes. I am happy to report its actually been pretty good.

Weve veganised my satay .. minestrone that was absolutely delicious if I dont say so myself .. full of fresh ingredients and herbs from my garden .. and Trev baked a delicious crusty loaf, we did a yummy chilli without meat .. which was awesome. Nate made a delish guac, avo, coriander, garlic, onion, tomato .. which was the best guac Ive ever had .. I cooked up some soy chicken .. not chicken but soya .. which was surprisingly excellent .. had a great texture and taste.. Trev made a delicious chocolate fudge cake .. totally vegan .. in honour of Cookie Day .. he made amazing choc chip cookies .. which rivalled his regular cookie recipe in every respect ..

So far so good .. :P

Apparently there is a Cookie Day AND a Chocolate Chip Cookie Day. Neither are on my calendar. I need a better calendar.

On the rare occasions I have time off, I always swear that I will do the things I don't usually feel like dealing with. And then end up dragging a wild pizza back to my lair instead.

My hubby made this funny recipe where he's trying to make something like those pork bao / pork buns w/ bbq pork..
..except using chicken.
and there's a salad and we're baking a pumpkin

They don't take long looks at anything, because they lack the courage.
The way to despair is to refuse to have any kind of experience, and the novel, of course, is a way to have experience."
