haha Vacation, yeah right. The only vacation I plan on going to is to see my mom in Louisiana, if she can pay for my son and I to fly down. Other than that we're broke as a joke, g.

Do you think diamonds are overrated as far as jewelry is concerned (price not being a factor)?

Yes. They don't even have any color (usually). They're just shiny pebbles. I prefer sapphires (blue's one of my favorite colors) or amethysts (purple's my other favorite color). Diamonds are useful only in that they are versatile--being colorless they can match nearly any outfit.

What's really in Area 51?

Yes. But I'm not a jewelry fanatic.

Nope.

I don't even have a TV. I gave it to Batty so she could play DDR at college.

To answer Auleliel's question: Alien body parts, of course. :)

I love to wear scarves because they are fun and warm. My favorite scarf has stripes in various shades of blue and is very soft and warm.

Any tattoos? Describe please.

I switched almost every bulb in the joint over to those newfangled fluorescents before the old ones burned out. So I've got about 8 or 9 incandescent bulbs, for when the fluorescents burn out in about 7 or 8 years.

Ki: Autumn is my favorite season, too! :)

How many house plants you all got?

by Auleliel
Four, no wait, three. One of them is dead. I'm surprised the rest aren't. I'd have more (and a higher percentage of dead plants too, most likely) if I had more than one windowsill to put them on. Plants + me = dead plants, eventually. As much as I love them, I can't keep them alive.

Do you have a green thumb, or are you more toxic to plants than I am?

It varies. For the most part I have terrible luck, so everything gets eaten by deer eventually.

Ever had an outdoor garden? What did you grow?

I'm glad you asked. :) This year was the first year I had a little garden. And it was really little, but we planted tomatoes, wildflowers and sunflowers. I miss my flowers. My landlord made me cut them down. :(

Who is your hero and why?

My Grandmother. When I was a child she single-handedly propped up our family emotionally and financially when my parents couldn't. She was the definition of gentlemess & love, strength & commitment. The toughest person I have ever known. When I went away to school in the 80's she sent me a check for $5 (she hardly had any $ left.) At the bottom she wrote "Isle of View" (see if you can figure it out). I never cashed it.

No. I don't have a yard. But if I were to have a political sign it would say "F*ck your war" or "F*ck politicians".

I feel a little guilty not saying SRD, though I do like him a lot, but my favorite is Kurt Vonnegut. I like his writing voice cause it reminds me of my dad. I like how he is witty and deep at the same time. Reading his stuff was the first time I had ever heard the concept of free will being questioned.

Has a book changed your life and how?

by Lord Mhoram
Many books have changed my life, because I consider it a lifechanging experience whenever a book challenges my philosophic outlook. The last book to really do that was John Updike's Rabbit Angstrom series, specifically Rabbit at Rest which, with the most beautiful language I have read in a modern novel, made me think critically about the fate of young American men like myself.

Are you looking forward to tomorrow? Why or why not?

There's always tomorrow,
For dreams to come true,
Believe in your dreams
Come what may.

There's always tomorrow,
With so much to do,
And so little time in a day.

We all pretend
The rainbow has an end
And you'll be there my friend someday.

There's always tomorrow,
For dreams to come true,
Tomorrow is not far away.

We all pretend,
The rainbow has an end,
And you'll be there my friend someday.

There's always tomorrow,
For dreams to come true,
Tomorrow is not far away.

...always...
