I think I can guess which you'll do ;)

I'd much rather see Gilmour.

Ah...but that's because the GATORS!!! RULE the Vols... ;)

...besides, I much prefer watching a game live, the show is already prerecorded, so the DVD will suffice for me...

dlb...if we ever do see a FL/TN game together, be prepared for your eardrums to ring from my screaming...

I don't have a Tivo either (although Time Warner keeps trying to convince me to get their DVR)... but I'm also not a Gator or Vol fan.

I will point out however that I'm a UCLA fan, and you owe me a debt of gratitude for our beating USC last year... ;-)

Not sure which I'll do that day. As you said, it's not a live concert (like the last Phish concert which I saw in the theatre and was not gonna miss). I can probably wait till the DVD comes out. But if the weather's nice it'll be hard to sit indoors on a Saturday afternoon watching either sports or music.

Not to mention our fabulous interim president between Lombardy and Machin...

Ummmm, it is a recorded concert with a live song and a live Q&A. No game is worth missing this.

Cail...

If it was a reunited Pink Floyd with a live song and a live Q&A I would agree. I enjoy Gilmour, but not that much to miss the live broadcast of the Tenessee game.

But...that's just me.

As you wish.

I'd postpone sex to go see this Gilmour thing.

Err....If I had any prospects for actually having sex, that is.

When Lombardy was forced to resign we got the retired UCLA Chancellor, Charles Young, as interim president for a few years. I really liked him.

You have such a way with imagery, Cail.

But yeah...I would do the same for tickets to the UF/TN game. I like Gilmour fine, yet the game is more important to me, although (and don't tell dlb I said this, shhh...), since we're in a rebuilding year, I think it will be a hard fought game.

Oh yeah! He's probably the only UCLA chancellor I know.

The Gilmour showing is going to be played in Tampa (Citrus Park Mall)
and I already got it set on my "Things to do, Places to see, and People to meet" list.
Anybody else in the Tampa area wanna go too?

Oooh, that would be a tough call for you, but I'm sure you made the right choice - the show would be longer than 3 minutes. :D

The more I think about this, I agree. I may have to leave work a little early that day to see this.

I didn't say I'd postpone sex twice.

If anyone is at the show and meets a very skinny, happy girl going by either "Twiggy" or "Angelique," who majored in Cultural Anthropology, tell her that Emo's sorry he's not there.

If someone already has PULSE, would DSOT still be a worthwhile purchase?

Absolutely. I think the songs sound better on DSoT, and the version of "Run Like Hell" is just killer. There's more songs from AMLoR, which (as far as I'm concerned) is a very good thing.

I watched the new Gilmour DVD today, and again fhad to conclude that echoes is the absolute. best. rock. piece. ever. written.

Haunting start, touching lyrics, searing blues, havoc in the middle, mind-blowing build-up, climactic lyrics reprise, a moving chill-down in the end - unsurpassable.
