Boy....the writers have some 'splaining to do - how in the world did so much change in just 4 months?

Yeah, they're going to have their work cut out for them.
But I'm super glad
that Peter isn't dead.

Well, that was already a given--
He survived in the alternate future we saw, too.
I'm gonna go see if I can watch the new one now.

Oh crap. HAHA.
Wrong brother. SORRY. I meant Nathan.

Ah, okay.
Well, that's a good thing. The finale was predictable and badly thought out, and having Nathan die was one of the worst (apparent) aspects of that bad thinking.

Yeah, and now I'm wondering whether or not some of the other aspects of that bad planning will turn out to not be all that bad.
We'll see.

I'm finally caught up on my Heroes viewing for the new season. So far, so good. . .
Anyone figured out why
Sylar can't absorb Candace's power? My theory is that "given" powers--people who were abducted and then started being able to DO stuff--don't work in the same way as the other kinds do. AND. . . I love the fact that Sylar has screwed himself over--for the moment at least!

Sylar can't activate any of his powers at the moment. I think they had him doped up on something that mutes his powers, or else it's simply a case of he's not fully recovered.

I think Sylar is still living in an illusion.

Except he can't see what we were shown,
that he's stranded in the middle of nowhere.
If he's still in an illusion, why show us a part of the illusion he can't see? I like the idea, but revealing to us where he is--and it's not true--is lying to the audience.
Magicians can get away with it, not storytellers.

perhaps we are just seeing the scope of the illusion ourselves...its not the first time we'd have been purposely tricked

My guess is that it's just an illusion as well. BUT for all we know, he IS in the middle of nowhere. You'd think that if Illusion chick can make him see anything, she could also simply make him unable to see her. For all we know, she's right behind him.
Also, do we really have to use the spoiler tag? It seems silly, since we're all going to be talking about the latest happenings.

I hear ya Wadds, but better to be careful, lest someone stumble in blindly.

Doesn't the virus block people's powers? Or is that only once it gets severe enough to affect them physically as well?

I think Sylar has the virus. If he's still in an illusion, then Candace can't be dead, right?
Can't we change this topic to add a "spoilers warning" in the title? All of the spoiler tags are driving me crazy.

Yeah, that sounds okay to me. A spoilers warning in the title, and then if you wander in anyway, it's
your faux pas.

Of course, her being dead might be an illusion as well - as Wadds said, she might really be right behind him. Although I think if that really were the case, she'd have given herself a better-looking corpse.
