How odd, Duchess - We've had them the last few days too, and having just now seeing your talking about them - my Wife came to me not 5 minutes ago saying, "Those aren't ladybugs, one just bit the **** out of me! I looked at her like she was crazy!

(Their numbers are dwindling now, though - guess they're going back outside.

altho to decide that they aren't ladybird because they bite is a common mistake, piss off a ladybird and it'll bite like a bitch in heat...

I read in the newspaper last night that these swarming critters aren't our normal American ladybugs (which are red and don't bite). These orange, biting bugs which look like ladybugs are Asian Lady Birds. They are swarming in the midwest looking to find warm places to come in for the winter...like our ladybugs, they eat aphids and other pests...

Painting is of the devil. Especially when you get to make a right royal mess of the carpet in the process (despite the plastic cover) , although it's probably a good thing that the carpet had to go any way at some point.

Cancer is the work of satan (not that I believe in Satan). It's indiscriminate the way people get it. Now my beautiful pet dog has a tumour. I get so angry and sad. What did my dog do to deserve this monstrous evil? I know I'm not making sense: I'm just upset.

That's terrible Ur-Vile, I'm very sorry. Losing a pet can be very hard, especially when it's a pet that should have many more years....
