Considering the method of administration for Evushield antibody therapy, perhaps Fist's phrasing might hew closer to certain "Hamilton" lyrics...

Too much work is better than forced retirement. Probably.

Must be the downside of the work from home capabilities that the internet brings. The constant pressure to 'be on call' as opposed to jobs like mine where, when you're at home, you're at home.Avatar wrote:Well, rough week extended into weekend.Worked sporadically around the clock all weekend. That dipping in and out of work you describe Av is essentially being at work. It is only a matter of time before these work at a distance jobs become jobs where you are only paid for your time when logged on - if lots of them are not already.

In general you're right, although in my specific case it's not usually much of a problem. We're pretty good at enforcing "off" time for the staff etc.
However, when a crisis is in progress, I'm fine with being on deck as it were. Need to justify my salary etc.
I'm not paid hourly, usually neither my work nor my responsibilities are particularly onerous, and the boss is both generous and flexible, so I feel obliged to step up when it's needed, especially as "upper management."

Addendum: After thinking we were in the clear with the cat, had a sudden and massive resurgence of infection, so back to the vet.
All they can think of is that something was embedded in the wound, so tomorrow it's a bit of exploratory surgery to see if they can find a tooth or claw fragment that caused the reaction. *sigh*

I hope all goes smoothly and the source is easily found.

Well, it didn't go badly, nothing found per se but apparently the pocket was very deep, and might have sealed itself off internally early, with the resurgent infection arising from there.
His chest is stitched up now, and it's house arrest for 2 more weeks, antibiotics extended etc.
Not fun for anybody involved.

The Great Rabbit Spirit might have abandoned you. It definitely abandoned Ukraine.
