I'm sure there will be plenty of that as well as the imbibing of copious amounts of alcohol during the nights as the victorors and their camps celebrate or the losers and theirs commisserate.

Morgath,

When your fellow demons first came through the rift, the AllFather proclaimed that "demons plague the world!" It may be that, through no fault of yours, we were given the wrong impression. However, you must admit that calling yourself "The Dark Prince, Lord of Fiends, God of Suffering," and referring to us as "feeble deities" in your declared dogma, is a less-than-friendly way to introduce yourself to us. You could not possibly have expected a warm welcome, and I see no indication that you wanted one. If you are now saying that you do not stand for Darkness, Fiends, and Suffering, I am afraid I will have to remain somewhat sceptical.

However, I want nothing but for all to Love all others. I hope you change the areas of influence that you have chosen, and that we can work together for the good of the world.

I agree with Bhakti. I will gladly accept Morgath as brother, for I too have no ill intentions (yet I am not weak!)

Thought you dear boys might like to know what I've been up to lately! Ryddi and I have been busy, bringing to life the Tree Guardians (Tirith-Galadh) in my forests. They are forestals dedicated to the protection of the trees and those who dwell within my woodland realms. A “Centre of Learning” (Enedh Gûl) has been established by my wizard, Vargath within the forest realm of Eryn Sîdh. Any who seek counsel or lore of Nature and Majick may come, if their intentions be of peace and mutual understanding. The Tirith-Galadh will escort all pilgrims to Enedh Gûl by secret paths known only to them. Make thy intentions known at the edge of the forest by leaving a circle of white pebbles near a beech tree.

In other matters, I will gladly assist in the stabilisation of the fabric of reality (I do extremely neat embroidery after all, and I can patch a piece of reality so finely, you’ll never even see the seam!) It’s only Natural that I help my brethren in this venture!

Elauradaneth, you seem to have made home in the forest in the north east. Half of that forest belongs to me. Its wood is a part of my industry. I do not want to kick you out of the forest, just my half.

Darling, the woods belong to everyone! Besides, I've organised some nice, plantation-wood on the far western side for your industry (nearest your cities for convenience). The "old growth" heart of the forest must remain pristine, dearest. If you would like to visit my realm, feel free to contact one of my forestals. I would be happy to show you the Beauty of Nature!

I will leave the main heart of the forest along, all I need is wood and some space for cities and farm land.

If you look at the map, darling, you will see that Eryn Sidh is on the far eastern reach. I would be happy to maintain your plantation growth forest to yield the highest quality timbers. My forestals are excellent in the ways of tree farming.

You will know wherein the boundaries of my realm lie. Do not attempt to fell wood which is not yours. My forestals are not as forgiving as I am.

Thyddian: I bless my second city - Ai-Aeyre. A city of wood and stone, but each man and woman a riddle. Each house a trickery, and every street misleading without direction of one of my priests.

Thank you everyone, for your help in sealing the rift near Ai-Amplus. I've attempted to find out who opened the rift (for it was divinely aided), but my research proved fruitless. The perpetrator covered their tracks too well.

And not only is the rift sealed, for which I add my thanks to all, but the fabric of reality is slightly strengthened. I would suggest that those of us who can spare the strength add to this whenever possible. *bows*

*booboo lips and googoo eyes*

Apparently, some arsonist git has decided to set fire to my beloved trees in the southern part of Eryn Alfirin...woe betide the SOB who dared! - however, I wish to plead with my brethren whose cities border my forest to assist in putting it out. My Majick protects the old-growth central and northern reaches, and some of the Forestals on the westernmost fringe of Eryn Sidh are already on the task at the eastern side. I need my darling brothers Bhakti and Avatar to assist tackling the west side of the fire (as it may affect their cities)

Brothers, will you help me? :(

Is there no chance the fire was not an act of arson? Lightning, perhaps?

Either way, there is no question of my people helping.

I have heard of a mythical world that is known by the names Earth, Terra, and a few others. It is said that, as the people there became able to communicate over vast distances, there was an unforseen problem with forests. More and more frequently, naturally-occurring fires were put out soon after they started, so little burning took place. As a result, the dead wood and brush became more abundant than was natural. Finally, fires that would and should have been relatively small, and would have done little other than burn the dead wood and brush, had huge amounts of fuel, and couldn't be put out without tremendous effort and time. And by the time they were, huge numbers of acres were ashes.

My point, and I do have one, is this: I assume Eryn Alfirin is a healthy forest, and has become even healthier since Elauradaneth became a major presence in it. Is this fire about to burn out on its own, or with little help? Is Divine power needed?

I believe unNatural forces are at work, Bhakti. Someone has deliberately attacked my realm. For what reason, I know not. I try not to offend other Gods, I have rendered assistance at every Turn to whomever asked it of me. I do not understand why some mean deity would seek to harm Beauty, Nature and Majick without risking the wrath of all these powers. I have been pushed to act if provoked, and this latest provocation is gonna give someone a very sore arse from the number of lightning strikes I will call down upon them...

Thank you for your help, my darlings Bhakti and Avatar. You are true gentlemen to help a lady in distress...I don't forget to favor those who aid me and my people.... ;)

EDIT:
News just to hand - we have turned the fire southwards, 'backburning' so to speak. It is now eating up Neph's 'industrial forest', but should he ask assistance of me, we shall contain the fire there as well. If not, it should generate abundant growth...

deep in the forests that surround the area known in the local tongue as 'Thassaurasmithie' Potenza knelt in prayer. months had passed since he had felt the devine presence of his lord Ordine. sweat dripped from his heavily whiskered face. "why lord, why do you forsake me? i have felt your influence and now cannot worship another. come back...........come back..........please."

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

100 leagues to the North in the city of Ai-sanguine a thief named Tommy Potter turned and ran. ever since the reported dissapearance of his devine Lord he had been down on his luck. first, his fence, a man known in criminal circles as Lacky, had got himself captured by the Imperial Gaurd and then he'd lost two fingers on his left hand in an unfortunate rope incident. but it had seemed that things were looking up. he had stumbled across the knowledge of a large shipment of gold being delivered to one of the cities most decorated knights. "won from the conquest of yet more helpless individuals" Tommy thought, "curse their God and his authoritarian ways!".
tonight was the night that his efforts would reach their fruition. but as he had grabbed the bounty he had triggered an unseen alarm. now he was running for his life.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Potenza opened his eyes.

"my Lord. you....you....your back!?"
"Yes. i am back. but i have changed a little. do you not sense it?"
"uuu....yes! your area of influence has changed....but i can't place it Lord, there is a cloud before my eyes"
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! then that is as well, my most cherished follower...for i am now the Prince of thieves AND THE HIGH STEWARD OF THE NIGHT. i have forsaken my claim on justice"

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tommy Potter dived in to an alley. he looked out quizically from between the barrels that he hidden himself behined. this was it he told himself. being caught by the Imperial Guard for the third time meant the gallows. he closed his eyes as the rush of feet got closer. he was poorly hidden and in this light he stood no chance of escape. he could hear voices now. curling up into a fetal ball he slipped his hands over his ears and tensed . minuites passed. slowly, oh so slowly he relaxed and opened his eyes. silence. looks like my luck has changed he thought. standing he looked around,

"My! night came on quick" he muttered to himself.

for those witnessing such events, and with the ability to feel things beyoned the normal senses, it might have been said that the velvet hand of divinity was at play in the mortal world.
It'd take you a long time to blow up or shoot all the sheep in this country, but one diseased banana...could kill 'em all.
