I'll be updating the turn in the next few hours, I hope. After which, turns in the next two weeks might be a bit more erratic because I'll be going back home for holidays and I won't be able to access the internet as often as I do now; I'll try to make sure I can keep up with the turns though ;)

Updating in two or three hours (sorry for the delay, mice issues - don't ask ;) ). Brace yourselves, terrible events are happening!

P.S. Starting from now I won't accept any other changes or notifications of moves for Turn 17 :D

I'm afraid so... I just updated the common events, so you can know how it happened and who did it... I'm about to send everyone the events.

For those who are planning murder on Nephirthos, I'm pasting the Deicide rules which can already be found in the main Pantheon thread:
The AllFather Xar wrote: DEICIDE

As soon as you are reduced to less than 500 worshipers (after the fifth turn since you entered the game), you become vulnerable to the direct attacks of other deities. Deities who might desire to destroy you can then declare an attack against you, assigning divine rank points to this attack; similarly, you may use your divine rank point to defend yourself, and other deities may lend you their points to strengthen your defence. If the attacking deity breaks through, though, you are killed, and the attacking deity immediately absorbs your portfolio (areas of influence) and remaining worshipers.

Thanks, Xar. I had forgotten the rule on that. Will take in into consideration.

A lurker with a question.

Has the statistics of worshippers been updated since so many died in the various cities destruction? The numbers don't seem to have changed much to my eyes.

Also, do the dieties know how many points each other have in divine rank points? So if they have an idea of how many points one diety has to protect him/herself, they can try to band together enough rank points to overcome it?

Yes, the numbers have been updated. (I actually gained this turn, whereas I lost 100 last turn, despite using all 3 DRP's to proselytize.) And yes, we all know how many worshipers and DRP's everybody has, because it's listed on the first post of the main thread.

Thanks Bhakti. So the rank you have as a deity translates into your rank points? I think I understand that then.

To be precise, Bhakti, this turn you gained worshippers because:

1) Your cities, except for Ai-Amore, have remained almost intact, and thus many have flocked to them for protection;

2) In times of crisis, mankind shows its best and worst qualities, so you "fed" off the crisis as Nephirthos did, although less so;

3) Your happy event (you know what I'm talking about) also increased your power notably.

Xar, when the divine points are spent in the hopes of influencing an event, does that diminish your rank the next turn? If Nephirthos put so many points into doing what happened, shouldn't his rank have diminished from spending them?

No, your pool of divine points is replenished each turn. As for doing what happened, he actually worked at it for a couple of turns, in secret, using part of his power to cloak his actions. Since no other deity saw fit to try and spy on him, he managed to crack the world undetected :P If anything, all the chaos and mayhem (which will likely ripple for a few more turns) have strengthened him...

See, this is why I don't actually play. Maybe after I pick up on all these twists and turns I'll take the leap...one day...in the far future...Oh, probably not.

But I am enjoying observing!

Oh c'mon Menolly, if you can read, write and think, you can play. Stop kibitzing. Join in...you know you want to. And you're missing out...most things happen behind the scenes via PM. You're only getting half the picture or less. :D C'mon... :twisted:

Oh Xar, how about a link from the events post in the Pantheon thread to the Archive thread? You could call it "What Has Gone Before" :lol:
