LOL We've already agreed no more. But we have three and while the Ginger male is about 8 or 9, the other two are only about 5 or so. (They're sisters from the same litter who both decided to move in with us, rather than stay with their owner in the next building over.)
The saga is still not over though, Ginger had his stitches out on Monday, and enjoyed 2 glorious nights of freedom until I noticed a suture hanging from his chest.
Which turned out to be one of the subcutaneous ones (which remained) that he had managed to lick out through his skin.
So he's back in the cone (and subsequently back under house arrest) until at least Saturday and maybe longer. *sigh*

May I just express how touched I am by folks on the Eastside of King County in Washington State? Especially the community of Bellevue School District's Odle Middle School? Washington State dropped the indoor mask mandate on Saturday, and we have been instructed to not request of others to mask up around those of us who may be immunocompromised or otherwise concerned for their personal health.
When I left work last week, the Office Manager and I decided I would try to do the job from the currently unused Office Manager's office, as we had no idea how many people were going to go without masks starting today. But, when I showed up this morning, I asked if anyone had noticed if masks were being worn or not. Every person working in the office had masks on. All of the administration and staff I had contact with had masks on. Just about 90% of the students I had contact with had masks on. And just about every parent or guardian of a student who came in to the office today had masks on. I felt entirety comfortable working in my usual spot in the office, without the urge to shield myself further than the plexiglass and the double masking I have already been doing.
How long this will continue I don't know. But for now, I am hugely relieved.

Our office will start a partial return in May. Mask mandates will no longer be in effect and after going by the office this week to pick a few things up from my boss, no one was wearing a mask. I have already told my boss that I have no intention of ever returning to the office again. Funny that a few months ago they listed me as 100% remote but now want to change that. This is my last year and frankly I would leave tomorrow if my wife was on board with it. But she wants to wait for next April after bonus's go out.
My Daughter and Grandchildren will be moving back to Georgia in 8 days and although I will miss those kids (especially my Grandson who has chosen me as his favorite and smiles hugely whenever I come into the room), it will be nice to go back to our quiet house and what was our normal routine before they came to live with us. It was nice to form those bonds with them that we would not as easily formed on face-time and infrequent trips to visit.

We're basically never going back to an office. Since our lease expired in the very first lockdown in 2020, we didn't bother to renew it, and as a result, have had no offices to go back to.
We meet up once every month or two, and moving ahead we're allocating each department a budget to have a departmental get-together on about the same time frame, but we're just going to keep working remotely for the foreseeable future now.
In other news, cat got a clean bill of health and is once more free to roam and get into fights. Thank gods, everybody was going mad trying to keep him inside.

Oh...
So that's why I'm having a second dose of Evushield tomorrow. They increased the initial dose a week after my treatment. I didn't recall being told it was a two dose treatment initially.
From Seattle Cancer Care Alliance:
Evusheld
While vaccines play a critical role in keeping you safe, we recognize that some of you may not have a strong response to COVID-19 vaccination. If you meet the eligibility requirements listed below and supply is available, you may be able to receive Evusheld (tixagevimab and cilgavimab), a medication used to prevent COVID-19 infection before you are exposed to the virus.
Evusheld is not used to treat COVID-19 infection or for people with known exposure to COVID-19. Evusheld is not a replacement for COVID-19 vaccination. If you can safely get the COVID-19 vaccine and have not already, we encourage you to do so. If you are not sure if the vaccine is safe for you, please ask your care team.
Who is eligible for Evusheld?
Currently, there is a limited supply of Evusheld available. We are prioritizing our most immunocompromised patients based on National Institutes of Health guidelines, which include:
Active pre-transplant/HCT within one year, those with chronic GVHD or who are taking immunosuppressive medications for another indication.
CAR T cell recipients
Hematologic malignancy patients on active therapy
Patients who are within 1 year of receiving B-cell depleting therapies
Patients receiving Bruton tyrosine kinase inhibitors
Patients with severe combined immunodeficiencies
Lung transplant recipients
Patients who are within 1 year of receiving a solid-organ transplant (other than lung transplant)
Solid-organ transplant recipients with recent treatment for acute rejection with T or B cell depleting agents
Patients with untreated HIV who have a CD4 T lymphocyte cell count <50 cells/mm³
If you are eligible to receive Evusheld, your care team will discuss this with you at an upcoming appointment. If, after your conversation with your care team, you decide you want to take Evusheld, you’ll be added to a waitlist and contacted when it is your turn. We will re-evaluate eligibility criteria as supply allows and will keep you updated when more patients become eligible for this treatment.
Recent changes to Evusheld dose
On February 24, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) revised the emergency use authorization (EUA) for Evusheld to increase the initial dose.
The dose was revised based on information that shows a higher dose of Evusheld may be more likely to prevent infection by the COVID-19 Omicron subvariants.
If you already received an initial dose of Evusheld:
Your care team will contact you in the coming weeks, if they have not already done so, to schedule a second dose.
If you decline a second dose when it’s offered to you and later change your mind, you may contact your care team at any time and tell them you would like to be scheduled.

I think the rabbit is probably dead. Or hiding. Or in hibernation. I'm betting the last one. It might be another year before it pokes it's nose out.

Rabbit is neither dead, nor hiding, nor hibernating. Two were cavorting on the deck today, one of whom came right up to the sliding glass door before skittering away when it realized I saw it.

Sheesh, I took a week off for my birthday, and nothing happened? Well, nothing here anyway.
Apart from my birthday, I also had some idiot drive into me, (nothing serious, just cosmetic damage, but now facing panel beating and insurance admin so meh), and the GF had some terrible reaction to something and ended up with a rash that developed into very painful blisters, so had her at the doc this morning to get drugged up etc.
Could have done without it all in all.
