Hi Ali, I wish you a swift end to your rashy discomfort. No fun at all and I too speak from experience, not shingles experience but the delightful rash family. We're vulnerable when the immune system is compromised, so not surprised it got you on the tail end of the cold. Try and keep your stress levels under control if you can. I'm sure the Doc's already told you that and or you've done your own research. Good luck and get well soon.aliantha wrote:I feel like crapola. I had a cold last week that cleared up last weekend. Then, maybe Tuesday or so, I popped out in a rash along my hairline on the left side. I thought maybe it was from switching shampoos, but I also had a swollen lymph node. Then the rash started to spread. And burn. And then a friend mentioned she'd been diagnosed with shingles. So I looked it up on WebMD, and went to the doc this morning. Sure enough, that's what I've got too. Aieee.
It does, however, explain why I was so cranky at work yesterday. I thought I was being a whinypants over my head hurting. But I had a good reason for being a whinypants, after all!
I feel fine today because it's the weekend and weekend's are good. I made Ussusimiel and rosemary soup and it was very nice. Now I am reading a book.
