Anachronism is Balon's Claire? Then I must congratulate you on your great taste in men, Claire. NERDS RULE AND JOCKS DROOL!!! Except in the case of some on the watch like James who are nerdy jocks.....

Awww, Waddley mark 1 was cute! I probably wouldn't marry Not Zen though.Waddley wrote:This was me a couple years ago. I'm a lurker, heh. Not Zen is a silly name. I'm glad I changed it to something respectable and sophisticated like Waddley.Waddley wrote:Yo, I'm Not Zen. You can call me Not Zen, Zen, NZ... you know. Whatever.![]()
Um... I started reading the very first book about two years ago, and although I bought the second two while reading the first I didn't actually start on the second one till recently. I'm almost done with it now, hopefully I'll finish tonight and start the third as well.
I'm mostly a lurker, but I'll try to pop my head up every now and again if I have a thought or opinion to share.
Oh, I'll also mess around in photoshop and make myself a little avatar tonight. The reason I mention this is that I'd like to fashion it in a similar format as many here have... if that's alright.

I didn't jump to any conclusions, but I decided her lack of complete confusion at the Balon-related queries was a good sign...Menolly wrote:Well...Cameraman Jenn wrote:Anachronism is Balon's Claire?
I'll admit I did jump to conclusions between Anachronism introducing herself as Claire, and Balon saying he would vouch for her. Claire having been my mother's name, I just couldn't imagine Balon would know that many women named Claire...

Greetings
A warm hello to all. I am newbie forum member but a long-time Chronicles fan. I first starting reading the series in the early 80's and am currently enjoying reading Fatal Revenant. Once done with that book I will probably go back and re-read the series from the beginning again (for the fourth time) while waiting for Last Chronicles book #3. I am looking forward to reading some interesting threads on this forum!

Thanks, Menolly! I probably just "missed" your husband since I moved to Rochester in 1986 right after graduate school to work at Kodak. All's well that ends well if he ended up meeting you, right? Thanks to you, too, Cameraman Jenn! Looking forward to my time here (of course I won't have much free time until I get done with Fatal Revenant...)

Heh. Nope. He entered as a freshman in Fall of 1986. (we have a bit of an age difference, with me being older) However, his crime-ridden habits he had in high school carried over with him, and he was "asked to leave" by the start of Spring term in 1987...Andy Kalish wrote:Thanks, Menolly! the new guy
hello everybody. when lord foul's bane came out i was doing route sales in magazine and paperbacks. i read, then pushed the book. the sales on my route was 50x greater than the other routes in the northern front range of colorado. my daughter is fourteen and she's getting the first chronical for her birthday. i just hope it floors her like it did me. peace y'all. thom
thanks for the welcome. i just hope i can last five years to read the last book without a breakdown. i tend to be impatient and 2013 seems like forever. back to book one, it's been awhile since i took it of the shelf. i've been reading robert crais, john sanford and micheal connelley to fill the time. be true,be cool .thom
Welcome to the Watch, Andy and Thom. Enjoy your stay here.
Excellent idea, Waddley! My first post here. .

And I still haven't read Runes or Fatal Revenant.Aelyria Mireiswen wrote: Hi! I guess I'll jump in here. .
First things first. . . I've been a fan of the Chronicles since I first read them a very long time ago (in seventh grade). I've lurked around here several times over the last year, but at the time was too busy to join in. Right now I have a little more time to explore around here, so I thought I'd do things properly and join.
I must admit that it's been a while since I read the series, and I haven't read the newest book yet. However, I am excited to read through the series again and have the opportunity to discuss it with other fans as I go.
So, that's me.
