Crazy, people, just absolutely crazy...
Well MM; when I was talking to them on the phone on friday night..a few of them suggested that the next one be up here in the Great White North.

Of course they were mostly drunk too!

Hey...

I've always wanted a reason to go to Banff, other than just the beauty of it...

Me neither!

Edited because my "Me neither" came after two more posts, and didn't make much sense.

That figures. Well, if it ever happens that Elohimfest comes here, then you, me and Usivius really should work on our 3 Ravers act - you know, something like jumping out of the shadows during SRD's interview and generally acting maniacal. SRD will either a) think he stumbled into another FBH episode or b) become terribly annoyed and use his karate moves to beat the living crap out of us. Just picture the entertainment value! Um, okay, maybe not.

Heh, now, maybe by 2014 I'll have enough of a life (a ya know, a full time job) in order to go to one of these things.

Otherwise...just let me know when the next time you all are in the DC/Maryland/Blacksburg, VA area, and you can drag me along, heh.-jay

Ah, thanks. See, aren't you glad I didn't attend? I'd be the ignoramus without a clue about anyone. I'd be thinking, "Get out of my way, bud, I wanna meet Mr. D!"

(Kidding.)

Got back from Alb in the early hours this morning. Already back at work.

I never did catch up with anyone else after Saturday night. I had the family with me and we had some other things to do, so I hope no one thought I was rude or didn't enjoy their company.

On Monday we drove from Alb to San Ysildro to Jemez Springs to Valles Caldera to Los Alamos to Santa Fe and back to Alb. Beautiful!!!

Isn't Valles Caldera the perfect Andelain? danlo is so right about that!

MM, no worries, I didn't know Vardeman was an author either when I was introduced to him. I hadn't heard of Real Musgrave either..... 8O :D .

I have since read some of Vardeman's work and really enjoyed it although the only complete series I could get my hands on at the time was his War of Powers series and it's published by Playboy Paperbacks! 8O :P . Manporn people, MANPORN.

It's gorgeous! And it had just rained, so everything looked emerald and shiny. And I think that coming there, as we did, from the desert gives it a certain lushness by comparison. I don't think my camera wide-angled enough to do it justice.

Yes, Wayfriend, pictures please! The more the merrier - especially when it comes to "Andelain" - the closest thing to the Land we have in the "real" world.

Playboy Paperbacks...maybe SRD shoulda hooked up with them...
