Less obviously, a snare for ezoids, a nasty form of phasic creature that likes to inhabit the nether regions of all beings across the universes. Every species eventually develops their own variation of a trapezoid (a bit like how every species ends up with a drink somewhat like a jynnan tonnyx, or gee-N'N-T'N-ix, or jinond-o-nicks).
